Segmental Thoracic Extension with Foam Roller

  • 1. Bend your knees to 90 degrees with feet flat and your buttock on the ground.
    2. Place the foam roller horizontally across your spine starting below the base of your neck.
    3. Place your hands behind the head/neck and then slowly lean over the foam roller comfortably.
    4. Perform 4-5 repetitions and then move the foam roller one inch down the spine to repeat at another segment of your spine.
    5. Perform 4-5 repetitions at each segment of your thoracic spine. It will start To get uncomfortable into the mid to lower back. Work into some of the uncomfortable segments but you can stay above if too uncomfortable.
