- written by George Harrison
George Harrison - vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, Hammond organ
Eric Clapton - lead guitar
Nicky Hopkins - piano
Paul McCartney - bass
Ringo Starr - drums
Jackie Lomax - backing vocals
George Harrison provided this song to Jackie Lomax, who made he debut on the Apple label.
The recording featured an extremely powerful lineup of George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, and Nicky Hopkins.
George himself is also in charge of producing.
Eric Clapton's guitar that drives throughout the song and Nicky Hopkins' piano that gets into the zone give the song a powerful vitality.
I like that it has the sound and feel of a song from the "White Album" because three members of the Beatles are participating.
June 26, 1968
After finishing the final recording of "Sour Milk Sea" at Trident Studios in London, George, Paul and Ringo returned to their home base, Abbey Road Studio 2, and joined up with John Lennon.
(John had been finishing up "Revolution 1" and "Revolution 9" until the day before.)
They have started recording John's powerful new song “Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey.''
The recording of "Sour Milk Sea" also influenced the Beatles.
After this, Nicky Hopkins participated in "Revolution".
Eric Clapton participated in “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”.
In particular, his connection with Eric Clapton was a great support for John when he later formed the Plastic Ono Band.
Ironically, this also became one of the supports that solidified John's decision to leave the Beatles.
- Hudba
I always loved and still love this song!!!!!!!!! Great!!!!! And I do love George s voice timber!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Well i have heard two new versions of this song. Thank you and all the pictures. Amazing song.
This is the best mix I heard of this song!!
Congratulations you made an excellent job.
Are you drunk?
Great George song!
The remaining Beatles need to go ahead and cut a new version of this song and give George Harrison a new outing with the group now that we know they can do it.
This is a great song. I have heard so many mixes. Alas, Jackie Lomax gets forgotten.
They gave the song to him.
I've never heard this version--great. And many of the photos that appeared I had not seen.
Kind of reminds me of Savoy Truffle
Same arrangement.
Jackie Lomax, did an awesome version of this song, with 3 of the Beatles backing him!
There's a lot of discussion about the White Album about what they could have done better, but no matter what, they really should have included this song on the White Album.
This song should be in white álbum, my opinion.
They had to make room for Wild Honey Pie and Revolution #9.😅
The Beatles never recorded it. It’s not a very good song. “Not Guilty” should have been on the White Album.
@@barbatkinson7347 Not Guilty ....ugh.
@@barbatkinson7347agreed Not Guilty is one of the greatest Beatles songs period. It was a crime not to be on the record although George reworked it and released it years later I much prefer the Beatles version.
great video
It is a mix of George harrison's demo and Jackie Lomax's version
Now bring the vocals up
What a beautiful song 😂
can you get this version on a cd
@@imreyesandyou yeah Jackie Lomax sang it as well as other songs on his album
I had heard of this tune but never heard it till now......great but where's the vocals?
it was given to Jackie Lomax along with other songs they gave him on his solo album , as in Jackie sang on the first public release .
Why is George's solo cut out? Bogus.
I dreamed that "Sour Milk Sea" would be included on the White Album.
To me, George's guitar solo part overall reminded me more of an Eric Clapton song than a Beatles song.
So I cut it.
As you pointed out, extremely selfish illegal remix and complete fake.
Get back...get back to where you should be.....;) Before "Get Back"....
Is John on this track?
Unfortunately, John is not participating.
I wrote the details in the description of this video.
Love this song. Better than Long, Long, Long or Old Brown Shoe😊
It is not better than OBS. And LLL fits into the whole Beatle scene. It’s not a horrible song
Needs George Martin desperately - would have been a great Beatle track
They gave this song to someone who actually did a better version of it.
Notes by Marbeat (above): Jackie Lomax isn't a 'she,' so you obviously don't know as much as you pretend... and where's the guitar solo?
The automatic translation was incorrect.
This is a check mistake.
Thank you for pointing out the mistake.
I dreamed that "Sour Milk Sea" would be included on the White Album.
To me, George's guitar solo part overall reminded me more of an Eric Clapton song than a Beatles song.
So I cut it.
I don't care for this at all! I couldn't understand what was being said and the music sounded discombobulated. I never would guess that this is the Beatles. WOW!
Can't hear shit
Vocals too low in volume.
This song certainly curdled due to not aging well.
Dreadful. Obvious why it wasn't included on White album.
It’s not that bad. But it’s not very good either.
It sounds heavily distorted. Very unpleasant to listen to.
Vocals are terrible quality.
