this feels like it would bring the older feel of the down2mob channel back which i think is what we have all been waiting for, aside from our wants, the comfort you would have is unmeasurable, hope to see this in future videos
Dude, your excitement in this new rig is evident in these videos. I think your channel is going to blow up again! Happy Days are here again, let the good times roll Fuso Style!
Fuso is awesome, get a 2 door rubi and tow behind the mother ship. Love your channel !
exactly what i said
The fuso.
Adds value to your day to day life. And the joy of taking your home with you everywhere you go, and it feels more like a home. You and the fuso, it was meant to be.
Love that the pup will have a super spacy and cozy spot for long drives. You deserve this comfortable living. I think it will be worth the trade off of the extreme off roading.
All that matters is does the dog love it! ❤😁❤
That’s a sick camper 🤙 I would mob it!
Looks pretty cozy dude!
Yes!!! Need this in your life!
The Duonic transmissions like to cause headaches on these, especially the earlier ones 2011-2013. Sick rig! though would be a bummer to have to end up having that tranny AND transfer case replaced ( They are a combined unit on these trucks ) - so make sure it's been serviced / software updated, etc.!
Phil I love you bro you got the best energy. I been down bad lately and your vids have really been helping me snap back to a positive mind
@kyle,
Lot of that going around.
Clodd does more good than he may realize.
That rig is so sick 👍
NICE! Fuso's are a lot of fun- we've been full time in ours just under a year now. Can't say we haven't had issues, but the ability to bring your house literally ANYWHERE is pretty neat. Enjoy!
Dude is buying this truck!
That thing is so cool! Having the slide outs makes a huge difference.
Looks and sounds like a done deal 👌 Give it a couple months, and some personal touches. You're going to really enjoy your new home. Reach out to your sponsors and dress her up !! Plus, she is going to enjoy it too. The FUSO appears to be "Down 2 Mob !"
Fuso, hell yeah! It's amazing that it fits all the creature comforts in a rig that will still park easy. It handled off road better than I thought it would. Love it!
That Fuso is really cool. Dig the layout with all the windows.
The Fuso is definitely “Down 2 Mob”
Hope you get it. You deserve some comfort and have some fun.
When you can, share the specs with us...tire size, engine, water capacity, solar and battery info, etc.
Comfort & utility!! Great combination!!
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but the siding on the big slide is delaminating, I can see the bubbles. This is a big problem and needs to be addressed before it gets really bad. You have aluminum framing so that is good but the rest can rot out if not dealt with. I think there might be a few more spots, hard to tell for sure on a video.
And that soggy spot just inside the door.
It is going to need some work real soon to keep it in nice shape.
This rig is nice. Tow a side by side and you have all you need.
Awesome 👌 good luck with the new home!! 👍
You live the best live ever bro what a machine is that congrats bro ❤
Dropped cheese always needs to be a donation to the canine companion.🎉
Five-Second Rule applies...
... unless you think you can win the scrimmage with the dogs...
...then you invoke the Ten-Second Rule!
Real cool set up!!
That’s awesome man!
It looks as if it could work, handles the off road sections better than expected. You just have to take it easy.
It's the bomb. If you love it do it. Stage of life determines a lot
well welcome to the FUSO darkside. been mobbin one full time on the left coast for almost four yrs.....absolutely love it. it's gonna blow your mind how capable they are. I have some vids from some trails you'd have to see to believe. see ya on the trails
I think you need to buy it!
Buy it, I bought one already - I flat tow a Suzuki Samurai rock crawler
Loving the rig Brotha🤘

This's exactly the way we camp!
Caravan chums in the middle of noplace.
.
2003, we engineered our ExpeditionVehicle for boondocking exclusively.
Our rig has a lot of similarities to the Fuso in today's video.
.
Naturally, we approve!
I would consider something with gooseneck/ 5th wheel or bumper pull trailer you could always unhook and use the truck for other things
Badass vehicle. Sure, you will miss your jeep. But with the lifestyle you live, I think that Fuso is the perfect step up. Go for it! Very cool! Heck, ya could always get a short lighter weight jeep and tow it behind that rig!
How can you not Like it !! Pretty Awesome
I looked at this at Happy's place a while back. I love the combination of living space and off-road capability. I could live in it....
Heck ya brother !!! Do it !! Huge upgrade !! Your logo would be dope on it !!
That thing is dope!
I hope you got this thing it’s so cool
Dude that beast is awesome u got off road capability with your house. Lol I would love to have one. Can't wait to see what u choose
Great spot, spent a few nights out there with my truck camper.
You have a lot more usable space for the same footprint with the cab-over design. Add the slide-out and it's an even bigger advantage.
I think the Jeep config missed the mark when it didn't do any kind of over-cab sleeper. It seemed like the natural thing to do but they crammed everything into a cube that sits higher than the cab.
Phil she's down to mob draw backs are if it breaks down as towing a mild head ache without another truck and getting stuck is a whole new dimension but honestly as others said a shorty Jeep n it's a major step up for you comfort wise and just a better set up for you as your not camping for mobile living
If the slides don't slide for whatever reason, then u have troubles obviously. But very comfortable and functional. Good luck with your decision.
Badass camper!
If you're Down2Spend, why not do a Super Duty with Carli suspension and an OEV (Hudson Bay popup or High Country hardside)? You'd get all the living space, inside shower, and still be able to mob
🤙🤙🤙🔧🛠️🔧🛠️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🏁House on wheels.... and its Ready to Rock when u park. Setup time is 2 slideout rocker switches, I like that.
Enjoyed
That would be fun. To drive as I really like being high up.
We built our ExpeditionVehicle on a 1996 Ford CF8000 commercial truck.
With air-horns, a lot of authority going down the road!
Looks like you're on the west side of Prescott this weekend. Maybe we'll see you around town tomorrow!
pretty cool
Yes! Do it!
Awesome
I say buy it. Mountain bike rack off the back maybe a dual sport also. Have a quick way to get supplies and giver. Build a step for your pup from kitchen to bed. Done
That thing needs about $75K of love and it will be nice. The interior is pretty dated, maybe needs an interior swap. The slide outs worry me long term, money pit.
You all know he has already bought the Fuso!
SOLD
If you get it a dual sport on a rack would be sick and a emergency transportation/Mob mobile. This thing is freaking awesome so much want over here 😂....A thought for the future, If you keep this one for years you can put a pass-through rooftop tent for your future kid or kids and not need to upgrade 😂
Fuso FTW
buy it,if you can
U could always get a pop up
I think my biggest concern would be the Slide Outs, specially in an off road vehicle.
John is a party pooper
Hello Phil and Corry 😊❤
You going to have start say Down to Roam!!Lol
That thing would be near perfect without the slide outs... it's crazy that you can't access much of the living area without sliding the sides out, the whole point of these things is having living space that doesn't require setup. I would keep looking, find one that just has a solid shell so you'll be happier long-term
I'd agree, even the 'luxury' RV manufacturers have issues with their slide-outs. I would never consider one on any type of vehicle.
Five years off-road with three slides. Nothing better. IMO.
@tj,
2003, we engineered our ExpeditionVehicle with 'primitive' in mind.
Zero gadgets to go wrong.
.
Naturally, we have zero slides.
.
Of course, the HostCamper could last decades without an issue.
It's all an experiment.
I've been in my Sprinter campervan now for about 4 months. If I gotta take a dump after parking in a parking lot...I can. Or cook up a dinner for the family. Although the slide outs expand at camp, so many times I need to get into the back to grab something or to remain Stealth without having to get out of the vehicle.
I subscribed to this channel for the dodge mahal, and it’s been complete ass since it left. This rig brings back the same vibes.
Hi, Phil Maby work out a trade if both are of equal value. Maby your friend is ready for a change of pace. . Everybody wins.
It will be extremely reliable but the second you need a part you will be effed
I want more
Fuso's are easy to work on, their cab Tilts forward leaving the engine completely exposed to work on.
Nice rig but I am not a fan of slideouts! They give you more room but also represent one more thing to give you an eventual problem. Being more offroad centric I would think the extra bumps and chassis twisting would speed up their failing and leaking water in.
Big step up though from the Jeep in comfort and room.
Buy it
Eeayeah...
You really need to do some homework on a Fuso. Don't get me wrong, they're amazing Overlanding Vehicle's, they're great in all climates. They'll go just about every where that you can think of.
But I've got some bad news for you Sunshine. Fuso is shutting down their North America Operations, the first to go will be Sales. Parts and Service will be around for 7 or 8 more years.
It's like I said, you might want to look into before you buy on a whim...
Definitely big enough for 3😮
buy it and head to south america !!
Can you do custom shocks for this?L just give it a bit more off-road capability?
that steering wheel is adjustable
I wonder about its hill/MOUNTAIN climbing ability. Mpg? Looks dope
buy this and then buy a two door JL to flat tow behind....your adventures will be AWESOME
Bubba i can tell you this if you keep this thing and buy it but keep using the steering wheel to oull your self in your gonna be replacing the steering column and parts
The fuzo steering wheel should have tilt and telescopic also.
Solid rig, fuso for the win, host campers are awesome and solid, slide outs seem like the future headache, learn how to manually pull them in and out fyi.
@matt,
One of our caravan chums experimented with a factory RecreateVehicle.
We all full-time live-aboard home-built HouseTrucks, so this was a new experience for everybody.
.
On a Baja beach, the slide motor smoked.
We extracted the slide, inverted it, and glued counter-top laminate to the bottom.
.
Installed, it slides across the carpet nicely.
A pair of barrel-bolt gate-latches hold it in position.
A pair of jacks support it while extended.
After watching the 2nd vid of it you could build your own but u look happy in this so just MOB it
You look so happy. Just need a 12” battery powered chainsaw with a 10’ extension.
Like a professional camp rig vs weekend warrior rig.
Have you smelled your pillow after not bathing for days? Your clothes. Shoes. They start to smell homeless. That is what soap does. Cleans things to smell good again. First thing I do in a day ..shower!!
Evidently you live in a sticks and bricks and rarely leave home. And your idea of roughing it would be a four star hotel. In the real world, daily showers are a luxury not a necessity.
@mike,
For over two decades full-time live-aboard, we shower every afternoon.
.
This requires getting to camp early afternoon...
... instead of Mad-Slasher Midnight.
.
Advantage:
* daylight walk-around of each rig in the caravan to check for hanging stuff
* supper and showers
* hardly ever camp on an ant-hill or under a wasp-nest.
I say buy it
How much solar? does it alternator charge? drinking water tank size? black? grey water?
Very cool but can you get parts for it easily.
The older you get, the more comfortability you want.
How does it do in the wind? Looks like it would be tough to drive on a windy day.
Might as well buy a Sprinter.
Curious, do you carry a Rattlesnake vaccine for Kota, because she is free to roam around?? (Sorry, if this is a dumb question)
Does the living space have separate air conditioning?
But a rhino liner paint job and a logo on the out side and she is home
