I could listen to this all day. Takes me back to my childhood and loving the sound of the MAN bendies. The School Bus R was always operated by one of these in the morning and I was fortunate to be able to ride these on the O’Bahn on a couple of occasions. Let me know when you take 1954 out for a ride again. I’ll join you and sit near the front where the sound is even better!
It was really depends on what the condition of the Automatic transmission in. Some sounded like a B58H Volvo bus making the high pitch whine when they transition from 1st to second gear.
God that would be so expensive to run. When was this and how do you find these guys with buses? I would love to go along I just never know when these events are unless there’s a privately owned and your friends

Sounds like a typical SG280 for voith noise. OUR SG292H's were this loud too

They where good reliable buses the SG280H Artics.
