I expect if he does this, he will need to let TRacay Walker go, since we have Branch for another 3 years. Next season there will be some very important decisions to make. Penei will be in his 4th season of his rookie deal, and I expect the Lions will make him the highest paid OLineman in the history of the game. And they need to do that for him. He is the core of this team and a generational talent. Then we need to re-sign Amon Ra, who also deserves top 5 WR money. Goff is going to need to be paid too. That is big money coming up. Since the Lions have at least $20mil left top spend this season, I wonder if BH don't use some of this years extra cap money to work out an extension for extend Goff for another 3 year deal. Or to put the money toward re-signing CGJ. Based upon the success of some of these guys on the roster, the Lions are going to need to spend a lot of money in order to keep these core players together. Based upon the age and talent of this team, the Lions have a 2-3 window in order to get to the big dance with the team they have on this field right now.
