"I Saw the Light" is a country gospel song written by Hank Williams. Williams was inspired to write the song while returning from a concert by a remark his mother made while they were arriving in Montgomery, Alabama. He recorded the song during his first session for MGM Records, and released it in September 1948. Williams' version did not enjoy major success during its initial release, but eventually it became one of his most popular songs and the closing number for his live shows. It was soon covered by other acts, and has become a country gospel standard. - Hudba
Amen Lori, I also saw the light while hitchhiking on hwy 40 going through Utah in August, 1974. That’s when I was told that Jesus was coming back some day!! It shocked me and the brother named Tom Philips from Littleton, Colorado who picked me up told me that!!!! I was instantly changed and thought to myself: and the way I use His name!!! I didn’t know that I had become a Christian, or a believer or anything. I just knew that I wasn’t going to use His name like that anymore!!! Tom handed me his Bible and scared me yet more when he turned it to Joel 2 and I began to read it out loud to him!!! Wow, that was an awesome time for me. When I finally got home, I asked my mom for her Bible. That shocked her, but I began to read and have never stopped these 48 years and I’m 68 years old now!!! Praise the Lord I saw the light!!!!! 🙏 Amen. Maranatha!!!!!!!!
I woke up this morning with the Hank Williams song "I saw the light" going through my mind. I am convinced that only someone that has truly experienced the reality of Jesus' redemption could have written those words!

A great song got A lot meaning too it.
As a supervisor in machine shop, I walked the line and asked my employee,an Eritrian fellow, if machine is running. He replied " you see the lights?" Pointing to control lights. Then all of a sudden this song came on my mind that I heard long time ago. Right away I start few tunes and showed him some you tube lirics. I csme home and searched the song. It realy brought my memories back.
