Perhaps they shouldn’t have entered the country illegally or lied to enter. I think many if not most Canadians are getting tired of supporting illegal entry asylum seekers.
Know what I don't get? Why have they been placed in upscale, fallsview, megachain sites to begin with? Where is the support for the local, independently-owned Mom& Pop businesses?😢
I worked at the Ramada Plaza on Lundys Lane. They had refugee housing from October 2022 until March 2024. 3 buffet meals a day. Garbage pick up at their door all day long! Housekeeping twice a week! Party is over! About time! Get a job or get the .... out!
I used to stay at Wyndham Garden on Stanley for 10 years. The second last time I was there I noticed tons of people there and was told by someone in housekeeping its refugees. I believe it was 2 years ago, while I was there they would run all over the place, smoking cigarettes and weed in the hotel and outside. They ruined the pool area by having a party there and again smoking weed and cigarettes. I found out some people who booked either for a night to a week actually left before their time to check out was about to happen on how bad it was. I would've left but i don't have much money to go else where so I stayed and when I was checking out, I was told they would be gone next year. The year after I book my trip a few months before and was told over the phone no refugee's. Of course that was a lie and my "reservation" was moved to another hotel which at the time was called Four Points Sheraton. Now its called Wyndham Fallsview Hotel and from speaking to Wyndham they don't even own the hotels as its owned by The Fallsview group. They own many hotels and restaurants that is under their name. So when I stayed at the next hotel the front desk person apologized many times for how Wyndham Garden moved me over and was told that there is nothing they can do to stop them and its all the refugee's coming into Niagara. Well I don't ever bother with Wyndham Garden hotel anymore and told them so even though they begged me over the phone to come back and continue staying with them since i've been visiting them for about 10 years. Told them they can't be trusted and they clearly don't care about their guests and the safety of their guests. I thought i read online about refugee's being kicked out as their overstayed their welcome. I wouldn't be shocked if Wyndham Garden is begging me again to come back to their hotel. Which BTW needs to be fumigated since they hardly cleaned the rooms with all the refugee's staying there every single day.
