This is truly one of my favourite TA fishing videos and led me to try pier fishing and I have never looked back thanks Graham
Congers do show their perfection by evolution. Love it.
I love these guys, love the videos and all the tips. Best fishing advice on you tube for the UK
+Adam Billings Thanks Adam, appreciate the good feedback
Try floatfishing setup so the bait sits just above the weed.
hello
Casper T a
Absolutely agree! Got back into fishing early last year after a few years of very hard working, these guys videos have inspired me a lot! Graeme gives a lot of the same advice I used to get from my Grandad, it's like a really nice re-cap session sometimes. Good, good guys and really have helped to switch me back onto the hobby I was raised to love.
I absolutely love fresh water eels but those conger are something else!! I can’t wait to catch one
another great video guys keep the good content coming
awesome video thanks for uploading
its the only thing that I would watch because I have just got my fishing rods can't wait till your nexted video's
Pier fishing with a float I enjoy the most. Fished both piers at Weymouth harbour and had some nice wrasse, mackerel, pollock, pout and gobies. All small but still a fish. l plan to go back after lockdown
Awesome! That Craig guy always gives excellent advice and tips as well of course you guys. Cant wait for a weather window!
+dav woo He knows his stuff!
Great video, watched many trying to discover the bait setup rig, many have the camera a mile away with the dude screaming as he ties one together. lol
Great information, right down to the hook used. Nice one TA.
Nice videos thanks TA .

Hi Graeme another awesome video from tafishing! One thing I am surprised at is that I have not seen you cover the ultimate beginners method the WHIP. I think you would enjoy a good whipping!! If you fancy covering this brill' method I would be happy to show you the best swims on my local stretch of the Grand Union at Leighton Buzzard which is not to far from you. Your son Mike would love it to its full of perch. Tight lines
awesome conger good show.
hey love your videos they just the best
Those were some nice Conga off the pier :D

+Yasser Kh Fished a few times in Portugal! Thanks for watching - Mike
What night is it? Friday? No. It's the TA Fishing Show Night. It's become part of my Friday to watch your latest video no matter what fishing scenario you are facing. Keep up the good work lads.
+Lewis Wilkinson We like the sound of that Lewis! Friday night TAFishing :) Thanks for watching - Mike
Pleasures all mine, looking forward to the next video. ;)
You guys are a very big help... is it okay using a 2.4m rod and whats the best bait i can use? I fish from a jetty
Thanks, great video, nice to see what sea fishermen are getting elsewhere. Here around Yarmouth it's been one of the worst years, not even decent whiting or dabs just tiny fish and the cod never did come. Still great to see someone catching.
+David Harvey Thanks David, I think it can be really patchy with the Cod fishing, but got to keep at it and put the time in as best you can. - Mike
+TAFishing worse than patchy Mike. The cod that usually go after the sprat shoals but usually make a big show before they go around September October time and then are not about till the spring run which hasn't happened either. It's hitting tackle shops I think. All the fish are tiny, whiting no bigger than sprats (really). The sea has been very warm and still is, which may be the key environmental effect here. An El Nino year so maybe we'll get a spring run. this year. I will be bad if not as the restrictions on Bass will put many off altogether.
Brilliant video! You can't beat Sweet Crisis!
+Thi J They rock!
+TAFishing Yeah! I hope they will release some new songs soon!
does anyone know the title of the drum and bass tune with the piano sample?..
Hi guys, I've got a question for you. I've seen an old 'drawing' probably from an old fishing book that shows an angler fishing as normal, (from a slight height) but has slid a float rig down the main line. I've heard of a Trolley Rig before but was wondering if you've ever tried this method. The drawing suggests that it's a good way of catching Garfish whilst targeting other species further down the water column. Kind regards, Karl in Swansea.
Great Video.
Have a good day everyone ❤️❤️❤️
Awesome...
Great vid
+ECS Games Thanks - Mike
Nice video :-)
congratulations on 85+thsnd subs
Hiya Craig, Would a Drop Down Rig be any good for fishing there ? Thanks
another great vid, but thought you might of just mentioned that its polite not to cast when the boats are going in and out of the harbour, as have been a few incidents when idiots have cast and their leads and hooks have hit the boats......just luck no one has been injured....but keep up the good stuff....lots of useful advice, tips etc on both sea and course fishing from you and your son.
If you are still in the area, give Blue Anchor a try, always good for dogfish at the very least - or if willing to ravel a bit further west, Bossington beach is also good.
+wanderer1 We've done a Smoothound episode on Bossington beach, great place in the summer
kinda a random question, but what should i name my 14 ft boat? its like that 1st boat seen in the vid
Awsome video
+hitman harvey Thanks
What's the music does anyone know? Also good video!!
When u guy gonna do Brighton fishing October November December on the beach and the mania
Is that in Scarborough because I recognise the boat harbour from the image at the start because I’ve fished in a similar place before
No,its South Coast.
what rod do you recommend me to fish from the pier
Ok thanks
Oh ok thankyou
I remember him when I was a kid he used to be well known
Hi Graeme,
Great location. I may look into going there in the summer when i get some holidays. I would also love to go Porbeagle Shark fishing, top of Scotland.
I love my Pier fishing as ive said before. I find its great for learning. One thing i did learn 2 weeks ago was that i had too many rods on the go to control properly. 2 on Tripod, and 1 in my hands. Loads of bites all night on Pennel Rigs but they kept taking the Bait and not the hooks. Think 4/0 hooks were maybe too big. Bait was Dungeness Black Lug and also Squid.
Also it may help your viewers, i now buy my Bait online from Baits Direct ltd. Top quality stuff and the cheapest prices ive found online.
Anyway Graeme i will finish for now.
Best Wishes,
Steve in Fife.
+Stevie D I did do a three day trip trying for Porbeagle out of Scrabster years ago.Don't know if they still chase the beagles up that way,but I'm sure there are still some around.Big fish too.Chance of a 3 to 500 pounder. I hear Shetland is still worth a look as well.
TAFishing Thanks Graeme,your the best.
Steve.
Super as per normal Graeme, I fished the Stone peir in Weymouth the other day I though I'd froze to death and all I caught was a pin Whiting and a Pouting and the biggest selection of crabs I've ever seen (4 differant species)
+David Storton Have you tried popping up your bait with a pop up bead? We did it on our recent bass fishing video and it worked a treat!
+TAFishing I've been using those for over a year but the swimmer crabs don't even notice them but thanks
metal tent! ha lol I like it a lot Graeme!
Hi Graeme, great vid as usual. Would it be easy to launch the Wilson Flyer out of Watchet? Would love to see you drag a +20lb cod on board (no pressure like!!).
+Stephen Alcock Actually thing of dragging "Hi Sea Drifter" down there for the Cod fishing. There's a slip in the harbour, but I think its a tight slot to launch.Might only get a 4-hour sesh but the Cod are barely 600 yards off the pier head.
+TAFishing would be Totally Awesome to sea....tight lines
Another awesome vid. Cheers fella. 90 thumbs down...What's wrong with some people!?
Past two years cod have been catch and release only hear in the states(northeast).
I think the Brits would even like to have ONE COD to release !!.Last season was a shocker.
There's always one knob to give the thumbs down?, why??? Great video as usual
+keith elliott He lives in the West Country ,under some moss and a grey stone.Only comes out on Fridays at 7pm. Well,7.30 I guess as he obviously watches ever single one !!
Good catch and release !!!!!!!!! respect !
Are you not better using basic rigs rather than these ? Time and cost replacing and do doggies care ?
Are grip leads a priority when sea fishing
They are not priority but when you are fishing areas with strong tides they are essential to keeping your bait pinned to the bottom
I always catch and release
The only time I would not would be in a survival situation
i love watching these landbased english shows.
Even though live in aus.
i was wondering where i could find a tripod like what was used in this episode
any websites ??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
You could make one... The main central leg is aluminium angle and the other two legs are ally tube. The established brand in the uk is Parker but the big tackle brands keep releasing 'updated' versions...
+Steven Greenhough
thanks mate i actually might make one
save me the postage cost and i could customize it to whatever specs i want.
thanks heaps mate
+jacob green We use the storm ones, you can find them online
beautiful location, beautiful city.
Could you please make a pike fishing video next week
+GAMING HD We will make a Pike video soon, but at the moment the rivers are still high and pushing and we have a few other filming commitments
No landing net, gaff or pier treble? A basic 20 dollar 4ft crab net with leads and a rope works just fine to land big fish. Monsters maybe a gaff or a big weighted treble hook on a rope. All three work depending on the type of fish. No reason to have to walk so far and also get wet.
ye its Friday
I wanna try salt water fishing, but I don't wanna spend money one it unless I know I like it
+Zack Samaros You can use freshwater gear when sea fishing, just be sure you know the casting weight of your rod
I just give it a go when we go on holiday down Cornwall. Was using my Fox Warrior for casting off a pier. And one of grampy's old (and I mean OLD) metal cased reels. I loved it, got a few fish and ate a couple of Whiting which were nice. I just made sure I washed off my rod and cleaned my reel when I got back to the cottage. Both rod and reel are still working fine! I found it was good to go down the local tackle shop and just ask as many questions as possible. I think people always feel they cant ask but I've learnt recently , everyone loves to help out. (Ignore JackVoodoo's comment, he's just angry at life in general I guess, god knows why, he's watching a fishing video! :)
what type of fish was that at the end ?
Goliath Grouper he said, I believe.
Is it illegal to take fish to your home? (from sea) in England (I'm not talking about small fish. But something decent)
No,you can eat sea fish, but each different species will generally have a minimum size limit before you can take it home.
I was just wondering when you might next be doing an lrf video?
We usually start to do them around spring time and do more in the summer - Mike
It sounds like is freezing cold in there ....
Can you do an episode in scotland?
+Greg McLuskey Had a few requests on these, perhaps in the summer some time! - Mike
+TAFishing cool
Man, I'd be using a net from 19:28
What is your and mikes biggest fish thanks
+LP3Cruisesandfishing Mike's was a 180lb Lemon shark(aged 8 !!!),mine was a 1500lb Sixgill shark.

+Basic_Fishing It was a good sized conger! - Mike
very interesting Graeme and Mike. Just found you and subscribed. Check out Alexas Kitchen, you two have to eat in between fishing...Love, Alexa
+Alexas Kitchen Thanks Alexa

Hello i make fishing videos too, ive also created a google plus comunity just for youtube fishing videos and am just about to share this video there, along with homepage in comments if you want me to remove it please let me know and will do promtly .I am adding the whole lot of the fishing creators i can find on youtube, over the next few weeks feel free to post vids on there if you wish too, i intend to create a audience of fishing filmakers and a easyer way of us all to keep on track of each others videos and make friends with new or unknown guys doing what we all have passion for, its early days but be great to have you onboard
The rig is too complicated if it snags in weeds it's a ball ache to redo
Hi Graeme,
Just a wee short message ref Scrabster. Ive found a great short video on you tube with one of your pals. Its Stealthcroft channel and Scrabster-Charter Boat Fishing. Your viewers may be interested.
Fantastic stuff Graeme. Been Sea fishing about 7 months now and so much to learn and so many places to visit. Can life get any better ? I doubt it.
Cheers Graeme.
Steve in Fife.
Must say didn’t seem to treat the conger with much respect😢
your.fish
These british shore fishing rigs are too complicated looking.
DROP NET !!!
mate those 2 congers caught would have been way too big to fit in a drop net! That's the advantage of fishing piers so you can walk along the wall and land by the steps. I had to do the same yesterday at Minehead harbour I caught a 3Ib conger and brought it round by the steps and then landed it.
hey love your videos they just the best
