hey kayla i like this video
@@britneyG1837 Thank you for watching
This video is very detailed I felt as if I was there myself. Thanks, Kayla!😊
@@annastaciacreed278 You are most welcome my dear.
I think it should be a little cheaper because it's not wall but I like it tho
it should be mandatory that houses being built in jamaica in this day and age be fitted with solar panels and air conditioning at no extra cost
Not a bad suggestion
Yes
Yes!! Inside is going to as hot 🔥 as furnace!!
You're right but you're funny
So the 40ft is for 3.8 million and the 20ft is for 2.3 million but when you combine both the price is 8.4 million. Make it make sense. The problem with Jamaica is that even when they come up with a good thing, they still try to gouge out people’s eyes. This is a brilliant way to solve some the housing problems if they can get it right…
And trust me, in 5 years these will be over 10 million, it might work out better to just buy the containers and build. Then again the prices of those will soon increase
Mek Andrew gweh! So yaa guh tell me seh had it not been FOR AMERICA'S CONTAINER HOME IDEAS THIS WOULDNT POSSIBLE? Why dem cant let normal homes affordable? Kmt u see how dat midget dinning areal look ? And that living area? So why dem dnt build a container housing scheme?? Wen people buy dem contianer homes deh weh dem have land to drop dem? Affi guh find money fi buy land!!! Kmt all of this is wickedness!
You hit the nail on the head.
Agreed! This is garbage.
@@raw-soul containers been expensive 4 + years now
Nice starter homes 🏡 it's best to own something than owning nothing at all.
So true
True true
Fe real ya
So true
If it cost so much why not just buy block and cement it's really not an affordable thing total rubbish
And the living and dining room space is a JOKE!! IT IS MADE FOR DWARVES!
Agree with you
So glad to see someone doing an extensive tour of these. Looks great! ❤
Thanks for watching and leaving feedback
EXCELLENT DESIGN by the builders and architects, NHT you have been collecting billions of dollars from the average Jamaicans annually, give them the full support to own their homes.
Thanks for the feedback
Looking very good 🇯🇲😎🏠
No body wants these furnaces to live in. They might look goodish because they are new and painted but I imagine how miserable and muggy they are going to be as a permanent dwelling in a tropical country. Definitely not a good idea.
@@LloydGraham-cm8bo Thanks for the feedback
@@LloydGraham-cm8boit will be cooler than a slab roof
My company propose this idea 4 years ago met and reach out to so many different parts of the govt… and I remember being told by mr Shaw that Jamaican will never want this.
So I’m surprise to see the same govt now standing behind this. The observer did a story on me about this same idea back in 2018
Sad and am not surprised at all they stole your idea. Give them some competition
No surprise there. Jamaican Politicians are anti-progress.
Yes, they are always slow on the uptake of positive solutions.
Just read the Observer article. Would you consider doing this again?
If what you say is true, that's very upsetting. This is a good housing solution and would be even better if owned by Jamaicans instead of the Israeli government
From high school days I’ve always thought of building my own luxury container house
I like the idea too
Been thinking about since the last 3 years, the designs seen online look amazing
@@CRWNJWL Indeed
I thought I was the only person in ja for the past 3 yrs or so thinking of living in conditioner home😊
It can be done..even can be fully off grid too
Residential houses in Jamaica Needs gutter around the roof to lead the rain water from the building. The water could be harvested to water plants
At the football world cup last year, one of the stadium was totally make from containers. So domestic or commercial use is absolutely brilliant. 👍
I really like this. It’s something I’ve been contemplating when thinking about building in Jamaica
Poor floor plan when you compare it to those in North America with the same square footage. They should have done a more open space with the living room and kitchen in order to maximize the space..Great idea otherwise
I also recently build two one in St Mary and one in Buff bay Portland so this is not new my company has been building continer homes for over 8 years.
Nice
Are they as attractive as this one... and do they cost less?
Can we get a link please.

@conroy black what is your company name
Brilliant! Just proper insulation and it's a done deal for me. Just get NHT on board now and we will be soaring to new heights 🙌🏻
This is a good idea for a starter home and the price is comfortable! It looks more luxurious than most of the ones I’ve seen here in Canada!
I agree
Facts. I purpose this 4 years ago as a way to fix ghetto, and they didn’t jump at now they are all over it because it profit there pocket now 4 years later
I like it very beautiful and affordable.I’m happy to see this type of house in for sale.great job guys thank you.
Thanks for the feedback
This is wonderful! Jamaica is late, but better late than never. I would definitely buy one of these
No sir not late their are several container homes in Jamaica, Winward Rd,Kingston,a Chinese man built one,not upscale but for his shelter.
@@gilmoreskeen1234 😂😂😂😂
I was waiting for a video like this..thank you.....there is some really nice house out of them
i shared this with so many friends thank you for capturing this!!
You are welcome and thanks for sharing.
They all looking great. I would love one of them
This is affordable for many working Jamaicans and looks pretty decent. I might consider getting one in the near future
If you have the money to keep up with the light bill .AC is a must, would not reccomend it to my worst enemy.
@@emriswilson17 she said it’s solar powered. It’s better than nothing though.
I have been saying why Jamaica don’t utilize shipping containers for homes? Love this.
Excellent…..it can make homes more affordable…way to gooo
These houses have been around for sometime now. Also good as Air BNB.
Thanks for the feedback
It looks really good, and i agree that NHT should jump on board n help out , so alot of us can get somewhere to call our own. COME ON NHT!!! ME NEED A HOUSE😊
This is one of the best options for affordable living, I would add two more 40 fts for my design. I like container buildings, I went to Caribbean Maritime and most of their buildings are built from containers and they are well insulated. Awesome video. 👍
Very good idea but what about the heat. You have to have ac at all times i guess. Just saying.
@@shermorganedwards4953 Not really, it depends on where you live and how hot it is, also you would need to properly insulate the inside so it doesn't trap the heat or cold.
@@krptoking4644 oh ok .makes sense.
Very good price is right too
These container homes are absolutely amazing I would definitely purchase one waiting on NHT to come on board
You are spot on
NHT is already on board if you have ur own land. They will give you the funds.
@@wowfactor2615 Not the scheme aspect tho
Amazing is a stretch or some tiny heat box.
AGREED
I love it. I have been looking for a year and a half because I will be retiring there in a year and a half over in the treasure beach area and this is exactly what I’m looking for! Thank you.
You’re welcome
This looks really beautiful
Can you get other options for container homes such as a hood vent above the stove, and a vent in the bathroom? Can you also buy a Mini Split A.C. Heat Pump and ceiling fans, and burglar bars installed? This model home is very small with little shelving space and no laundry room, are these options you can purchase in a larger container home? Also can the home be installed on stilts or raised ground to protect when flooding happens during rainy season. Can you buy a battery back up to power home on shady days when solar can not charge the power needed. Is the roof hurricane proof?
I am loving this!
Awesome homes perfect I love them very practical
Thanks for the feedback
Containers should be the pro to type for Jamaica especially the rebuilding the slums.
That’s an idea
I like the fact you said it's not so hot I guess these homes will do better in cooler parishes
Indeed
Manchester would be perfect 😊
how can I apply for one right this minute I live in Manchester
❤ this idea I would love to purchase one of these interesting 🤔
Check my description box in 15 minutes. I will unload the prices by then.
I wonder if NHT can fund this kind of home? I think it's pretty economical and cost effective, also less hassle to get Contractors to build your house.
I would love to purchase one of these container homes. I truly love the design.

Same like how u can purchase container hone u cah build wah concrete home kmt well me wah long term home
@@krysierodney997 containers homes, have been long been in America and Canada and these are first world countries, and many people enjoy living in their containers house.
Can you please keep in touch wirh me please. I need yo know. The number or numbers. To call. Please
It looks like a New York City apartment minus the veranda for $2000 a month.
We need it in St James and Hanover, love it ❤
Wouldn't mind seeing a three bedroom also seeing a bigger kitchen
Awesome. Love the creativity.
Thanks for watching
This is amazing 😻 container house 🏡 is beautiful great 👍 construction 🏗️. Thank you for sharing this information ℹ️

This very beautiful i love it
THE PERSOM WHO PRICED THESE HOUSES WANT A SLAP WITH A PEACE OF 2*4
Thanks for the feedback
I am impatient but not that impatient. Let me slowly build.
Thanks for the feedback
Yes I'm coming home. One love
Container Office\Home has been in Jamaica for several years now. C.A.S.T\Uthech JA. has had one these container for years now
Great idea 👍
Should be cheaper
Thanks for the feedback
Why the container houses was something people would be hesitant about is the heat of said container. If anyone has ever been in a container wound know how hot it gets but this is the "best" option for low income housing i guessssss
Great idea, but your floor plan doesn't flow at all. I have seen tiny houses with better floor plans that flow and work so beautifully, and this one just looks confused.
Should be only fear to have the solar and ac as mandatory and not optional. Also the cost should not exceed the NHT allotment. Solving the housing crisis will require consideration to cost.
Stop that room is for one child think the prize too high
Thanks for your feedback
Not bad, looking good 👌
It does... I was pleasantly surprised.
Iove it great house
Do you provide the land to put the container .are I have to find my one land ?
Looking great
Thanks for the feedback
Very good idea! One thing it is very costly. The rooms are very small , not much space in the rooms kitchen is small. I am living abroad and still cannot afford the container house. It is too low on the ground, at least they could have raised the it a little higher up.if water happens to come in you have to start sweeping the water out of the house. Loved the idea , but as I say it’s too expensive, and need to raise up from the ground.
impressive!!!!
Indeed
Wondering if this will be my first home. Not opposed to the idea but they're very hard to cool
Yes and the unit I your cost just 8.5 million
The inside must be insulated to control the outside heat.
@@suelee9934 Looks that was because it's not hot
In 90+F weather how will these units achieve cooling? There are enough problems associated with cooling existing concrete slab units. Information is that units abroad are fitted with central cooling systems.
But I guess families would be able to pitch tents in the yard provided in Jamaica’s mostly hot weather
It’s nice decor
Looking good. Is there a back door?
Beautiful
That's lovely, I am interested, but have no land😢
Thanks for sharing
Just beautiful gorgeous ❤
Awesome
It's looking good
Thanks for the feedback
I really would like one of this.
I’ve been looking at these units that they make in Africa and think it’s a extremely great solution for the poor. Government should jump on this and start developing communities. This is very nice.
Poor? 8.5 mil
You have to find the land
The solar equipment shouldn't be in a room where ppl are
Good idea but fo4 8.5 mil they should give more since its containers and not block and cement
Love ur little walk through I'll subscribe
This is a demo home
It's placed there so that when the display unit is closed it is inside
Are they chi chi proof 😊 they are beautiful, another concept in housing. Gwhan Jamaica ❤
Nice... where are they located.
.
And what's the price per unit?
Can we take out a loan on these container homes or just straight cash, and if so do they have lenders they work with or we have to find our own lender?
Looks good not gonna lie
I know right
@@KaylaKKeane fa real man
I like these houses I would purchase one
Thanks for the feedback
work with the government to see if we can get some of these homes deployed in the Garrisons downtown Kingston, this would definitely get rid of the eyesores in some of these ghettos
Does it include the lot space (or does it come with the LAND?
Realistic to solving homelessness problems and Renting.. Many of These industrial homes were ship to Jamaica 🇯🇲 after Hurricane Gilbert and they served their purpose. # I would live in them.
Hello Miss Keane can you show a 3 bedroom container house thank you.
For a vacation home/rental/office, but not for living. That John is so small. Can’t handle my healthy living 🤦♀️
I like this idea
Does it comes with furniture for that price
....Also good as Air BNB.
I think it is nice but for a container house price is too high, it's not block cement and steel.
It's old containers decommissioned by Container Services, these containers are deemed unfit for further cargo transportation. Maybe they are even rusting on the inside,do you know what's the cost of a new container, you would be surprised?.
Please go through all the remaining units
I'll do that just for you
The house is nice. Is there any of these in the Montego Bay, St. James area? Please let me know.
Windows and glass work actually done by Elegant Creative Dezynes.
I was thinking about this a good while now but I prefer to build my own
Okay great
Big up yuself Kayla
If i to purchase one can we add on a extra room and bathroom as well?
love the idea, there was a time when I was interested in this but after doing some research changed my mind. My problem is what were these containers carrying and how does it affect the people. Do they get to see the manifesto/ paper works because they could harm them in the future
Thanks for your feedback
I was considering this a year ago but have not found any land to purchase. How does this work? Do purchase it and they take it to where u want it?
Love it
Where can I get one to buy
Quite a profit for 450sq ft. That's $135Usd per SQ ft. Is foundation included, plumbing and wiring?
And my husband thought I was crazy when I mentioned it last month about container homes
No we want real house
Does this $8 plus million for the combined two containers include the water, electricity. Sewage connection as well. Plus the “build out” inside.
This is Expensive... you have to take in consideration the land. Will they be providing that?
