Any GTR R34 will be at least double the price by the time theyre legal in the US. People are already crashing and destroying most of them in Europe, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, etc.) Day by Day
Unfortunately that's a fact those of us in the US will just have to deal with. Either save a lot for a long time until 2024-2027 and hope you've got enough or wait for prices to go down after some time has passed. Either way my next car is an E46 M3 anyways and thankfully those aren't quite so expensive lol

@@JW0121 Huh? I was talking about how prices will probably go up because of demand for the cars in the U.S. I wasn't making generalizations or assumptions about anyone in any country. I know two Nur spec GT-R owners from UAE and they're both very passionate about their cars, one of them actually showed me how the japan car auctions work

Yeah! I actually did a playthrough of SRS not too long ago, it's a short game but really fun.
Yes, it was similar to first nfs underground, but with dancing girls videos :D ...but there were many people playing multiplayer, it was really fun game in 2004-05 :)
I never really got to play multiplayer when it came out. I first got it on gamecube and recently got it on my PC.

I can absolutely relate with being impressed with the way GTRs have been portrayed in another piece of media as much as I did with the SRS. I was disappointed as a kid that the game did not have as many cutscenes at it did in the beginning. Did not know that it was a Nur until this video.

i remember first looking at r34 gtrs and finding a heavily modified v spec ii gtr with all the nismo parts for £28,000. that car would be worth about £75,000 now. the difficulty level for achieving my dream has gone from moderate to insane
about 170,000 now lol

Great to see someone with fantastic knowledge on the Nur cars for once haha, I completely agree with you on the pricing of the Nur's, for a strengthened block and turbos, gold vin, 300km/h speedo and exclusive colours apparently warrants double the value of a v-spec which is crazy! Personally, I wouldn't spend the money, as these mods could be added onto a normal car for much less.
Yeah it's pretty tough, the sad thing is I'll probably end up forking the cash over for a M-Spec Nur GT-R anyways. I want to get something with Mizuno's name on it because he's one of the main guys we have to thank for this car.

Yeah, I only plan on ever building two crazy cars, an E46 GTR and an R34 GT-R. So I feel like in my lifetime I can invest in just those two.
You can still import these here in the USA, and drive them for up to a year. There is a waiver you can obtain to do that.
Yeah you can do that with the M-Spec Nur and the Midnight Purple II R34 V-Specs

Thanks! Do you mean a Nur spec or a V-Spec designated as an N1 car? The N1 R34s are probably even harder to find than the Nur specs, but either way I'm going to have to be very creative with finding a way to secure an M-Spec Nur.

If you're going to do an M3 GTR make sure do V8 swap it use the engine from the e59 that's what I was going to do before my mechanic lost his shop
V spec nur has better suspension tuned by nismo... upgraded anti roll bars ..upgraded cooling etc.
GT-R V-spec 2 Nür also in initial D fourth stage.
That's why I like GT-R as well.

If you look at JDM Expo, there are a couple of M-Spec R34 GT-Rs for sale right now but they're very pricey like you said.
I try to only look at the Japan auctions only unless if I know the seller/owner directly just so that I have access to all the information I need
Thumbs up that you know about srs, I recently got it and the controls are a tad wonky, but I still love that game, wish they could make a remake/remaster, also, if your interested, check out the Tokyo xtreme racer, or shutoku battle and kaido battle series, they have a lot of jdm cars that you never hear about
SRS is a childhood classic for me, and it’s the main reason the mspec nur is my favourite

A V spec II Nur just sold at an auction for 33, million yen ($313.4k). Knowing the slight but important differences, that price seems a little steep. Bet I guess its an auction soo🤷♂️
Actually you can get a M SPEC NÜR in America right now not illegal with certain licenses (you just can upgrade them paint them and you can only drive 2,500 miles in one year with em)

So did you ever make that video about the difference between the 1999 to 2002 R34 models? Because I would really like to know because I’m always saying the 2002 V-Spec II is the best skyline hands down that isn’t a special limited edition, but I’m always hearing people constantly talking about the 1999 or 2000 why is that? What’s the difference between the years and what’s the best model that’s not a super special limited edition and what’s the difference between the V-Spec and V-Spec II ?
All great questions! The M-Spec non Nur is a great vehicle, the V-Spec II is nice with its updated darker interior. The non vspec 99 is great for tuning because the mechanical diff is usually recommend when building for big power

In a nut shell M spec for the Leather seats call me what you want but I'm not dropping 60k plus with out leather unless it's a tack foucsed like a Senna PR something in that nature
Yeah GT-Rs can be pretty expensive, all I can do is work hard and hope that by the time the M-Spec Nurs are coming to the U.S. they aren't totally out of my price range.

silver stitch is on all models from august 2000 (and gold in the M spec and M spec NUR)
and in the vin plate change from blue to silver in august 2000 and then it becomes gold from silver on the NUR

I knew about the silver vin plates but didnt know which years they used them specifically. The interior I didn’t know much about but that’s cool to know.

880k is too much for any Skyline GT-R unless if it's a Z-Tune or a 2 Fast 2 Furious movie car. I'm just going to pick up a white M-Spec Nur and store it in Japan. Oh and Millenium Jade, I grew up knowing that colour.

What about the Midnight Purple R34?
Midnight purple is my favourite R34 colour of all time. However I prefer midnight purple 3 over the midnight purple 2 everyone is talking about (because it can be imported into the U.S. under show and display). No matter which R34 GT-R model I get I plan to repaint it midnight purple 3.

I've always liked the M-Spec Nür simply because no one talks about it. It's always the V-Spec II Nür, and never the M-Spec. Besides, Millennium Jade is a much better color than Bayside Blue.
I've always wanted to tune one. It's on the list after the E46

It's just increase performance POTENTIAL. Most of the parts in the Nur spec can be easily put into ordinary R34 GT-Rs, the nur specs are special because of rarity and the things I mentioned
Well.. for years. I've been arguing with my own self, honestly. Because i do adore about z-tune soo much.. but at same time i admire nur-skyline. But idk about m-spec..but i have some memories about m-spec story waayyy back when i still 13 yrs old. But never get me back in my desk. I mean to find out what story behind it. That..weelll.. in my mind always argument about those two spec nur and ztune. Duuhh..😂😂😂😂

The V-Spec II Nur is likely capable of being faster due to the fact the M-Spec has a softer suspension setup

Why is a Z Tune one so hard to find?
They're SUPER rare, but they're not necessarily hard to find. You need the cash and the proper channels to find the ones that are "for sale"

If you’re a baller, go to Japan now and find your dream R34 and put it in storage, come 2024-2027 these cars are going to sky rocket in price! everyone in the US will want one and there will not be enough to go around, so I can see them going for at least close to 200k for base models... trust me
Auctions for R34 GT-Rs start at 40k - 60k and can end at 50k to 80k depending on the model, condition and mileage. I don't see a base model going for 200k unless if it is a very special example, but for a nur spec I could see that, I'm still gonna do it though. I'm just going to do the whole buy the car and store it method.

Why the Hel would you put a fake badge on anything? Is the badge why that version is your 'dream car?' Why even think about that?
You didn't even seem to talk much about any differences besides what turboes are on it and some interior bits you also said you didn't care about. I say get or build what you want, make it *you*-spec and put your badge on your toolbox or on your wall or something.
Also if you're rich enough to be in the market, buy one sooner and store it, the prices will only go way up when they're USA legal.

Ahhhhh okay, you still didn't really explain why you want the M Spec version over any other car, but okay 2027. I don't want to put you off but this is the only way I can explain it. Saving for a M Spec will be like saving 10k for a house that's going up 50k each year. It'll be unattainable. My advice would be to go out and buy one now from another country, ship it over and put it in storage until 2027
And let me explain why. A R34 GTR isn't like other cars that have to hit the 25 mark to enter the US from the games like for instance the Toyota Celica GT4 st205 from Sega Rally. They are exactly what you think they are and more. They drive better than the games and just as customisable. Unlike the Celica which is nothing like the games. Owning one, I can tell you they are slow, heavy and unreliable. Looking at them now they are 25 years old, the prices of them are stagnant, where as my R34 thats not even available yet is now worth 10k more than when I bought it 3 years ago.
The R34 GTR prices have tripled in the last 5 years and they are still going up with 5 more years to go. Once they actually become legal in the states and a few of you drive it, it won't be like the Celica, you all will realise even more so what you've been missing and the prices will skyrocket even more so and you'll have 3 years of that be the m spec will be available
All the version of the R34 not just the GTR will be remembered as the best Skyline in history. The last ever manual, The ever real coupe, the last ever RB engines, the last Skyline with a straight 6 and you have to pay for the privilege of that. If I was you I'd count myself lucky to be able to own a normal R34 GTR let alone the unicorn that's no better than the horse. Remember the M Spec is just the rarest, not the best.
The reason why I'm aiming for an M-Spec Nur is because of a few things: The rarity and the fact that it has Mizuno's name on it and the engine block. And besides, the plan is to get the car early and just store it since I know how expensive they'll be by the time they turn 25. It's not a vehicle purchase I can really justify but it's something I've always wanted.

@@TheRacingJoker yeah that's the one. Like our last conversation about engines, I was trying to work out if it was worth dropping a RB26 into my GTT and came across it. I've been shifting through your videos, you seem to know quite a lot already, I'm regurgitating things you already know lol. Have you ever driven a Skyline of any kind before or seen one in person? If not, I openly invite you to the UK and get you in some. My friends got a R34 GTR in red (1 of 61) rarer than the M Spec lol, with a RB28 and sequential gearbox (800bhp) and I've obviously got the 450bhp R34 GTT. Got a few friends with R33's, R32's and Supra's, S15's, S14a pretty much any jdm car that's illegal in the US, I have a friend that owns one lol.
