- What? A new video from Kohaku? I bet you can't believe this. Sorry for this loooong hiatus. I'm really busy lately and when I had free time the last thing I wanted to do is to work even more translating. I hope you will understand me.

This song gives me the image of Waver & Rider's riding victorious and Waver becoming a man! then Ilya running around with Hercules (that ED was pretty cool)
I used to listen to this song and not really think much of it. I used to just think "man, Eir Aoi voice is really beautiful". Now that yesterday, I found out my aunt had just passed away, I think O can finally understand this song. My aunt had an aneurysm a year ago. Despite having been stable, she was left in a vegetable state. I could tell she was suffering, so if I'm gonna be honest, I was hoping she would bite the big one soon when I saw her in a vegetable state. I couldn't stand seeing her suffer. Yesterday morning, I found she had passed away in her sleep. The strange part was, instead of feeling the pain of losing someone for the first time, I felt nothing at all. Now that I listen to the song again, I can feel some pain. But I still don't grieve.

I feel this song is presented for gilgamesh and enkidu. Because it's about memories of best friend, and it's more related to gil and enkidu. But we could use this with arthuria and lancelot (even not tells much about arthuria x lancelot, but it's still have some relation with the song)
When Gil appears in the opening, the line in the song is "your eyes were gazing into the future".
Gil's biggest problem, at least in Nasuverse lore, was that he saw much farther into the future than anyone else could. And Enkidu was the only who realized that. That, and some other parts really did feel like they were about Gil and Enkidu.
I think this song was made like how it is sk that we won't feel bored listening to it over and over : )

The song’s lyrics are ironic for the theme of this show because every master and heroic spirit (except for rider and caster) everyone got used or betrayed
Caster also was betrayed in some way.
I would argue that Caster used Ryunosuke pretty heavily, the maniac just didn't care that much because he thoroughly enjoyed the death and despair they caused

Man, seeing the image scroll up to reveal it's actually Gilgamesh dressed as Artoria was a bit of a surprise!
But yeah, the song about holding memories of a dear companion really strikes my heart. The relationship between Iskandar and Waver was really moving. It feels ironic that the song doesn't apply at all to Artoria, who was willing to erase or change her history, hoping that it would have saved her people.

Enkidu was created to watch Gilgamesh, he has no gender so you could call him/her either way.
But as time goes by, Gilgamesh grows fond of Enkidu and view him/her as his one and only person who understood him.
I can't remember the exact event, but before Enkidu died from protecting Gilgamesh, his/her final words was that he/she is worried about a "friend" who has to live on his own without anyone to support him, understood him, and stay alongside him. Enkidu died while being embraced by Gilgamesh who shed his first tears at that time.
Or so I've heard.
