Shanty Sanctuary 2021, Voyageurs NP , Trip 1, Ep 3

Moved from Eks Bay (K47) to Round Bear Island (K28). Excellent site with a beautiful sand beach and plenty of room to roam.
Unfortunately, this was peak season and I had a huge two decker houseboat come in intending to tie up, in spite of my being there already! I guess they figured bigger has right of way!
After much discussion, mostly peaceable, I got them to leave. As a result I decided not to stay two nights. I did not want that kind of hassle again!

Would a small Honda 2000 generator be useful to have if you faced a series of cloudy days?

Yes, it would. I used to own one and used it on my sailboat for backup. But, I do not want the noise, have little room for a gas generator, nor the extra fuel it would take.
A larger solar array is my fix and will soon be tested on my first trip of the year. I have also added another lithium ion backup battery that can charge the main solar generator battery 1.5 times. Avoids the problems of a gas generator. Yes, more expensive, but in the long run it is a better fit for my type of boating.
