  • Gallop Sparing with FAST Speed average 55 Km/H. GOPRO 5. A video of our second sparing with Imbattable and Olatist.
We are really happy with both performing on solid levels.
Its always nice to see sparing routine as the horses usualy like to race and bring out the power they really have in them.
Iv added some aditional contect from air as my first drone shots were preety decent. Hoped you liked them.
The movie was taken with gopro 5, and we filmed it with 2,7k and stabilizator on. Still was really hard to stabilize it as the speed was 55 Km/h avarage.
The same gallop with almost same speed happend when it was snowing! Check it out :

Wish that was me on the back of the horse. I’ve never owned my own but have ridden them for many of my younger years. I love getting them into a good fast gallop and in that moment any of life’s pressures or stresses go out the window. I agree about the music. Would have loved to hear the sound of its feet hitting the ground and the wind passing. I just am in love with horses. ♥️

I rode a horse regularly and he was stubborn til we did casual trail rides. He was an Appendix Quarter Horse. He took off when I just let him gallop (normally you had to really urge him into even a trot in an arena) and there is no comparable feeling in the world.

Wow... i havent ridden in 4 or 5 years now.. i recently started to miss it, and this video just made me miss it even more. That feeling is so hard to describe, but i think its a combination of trust and companionship with the horse, the adrenalin and the scilence in your head. Like, you cant think about what you are doing afterwards etc. The only thing that excists in your head is you, the horse, your heartbets, and the wind blowing in your face.

It's all over in a split second, it is worse when you're in a race with 15 or more horses and your near the lead and your horse clips his front hoof on the horse in front of yours back heal (called clipping heals) and you get instantly speared into the ground at 60kph and look forward to all those horses behind to come over the top of you! Horrendously scary feeling!

If I may offer a critique on helmet-cam use...
this is just about perfect here. the focus is on the trail ahead, putting the viewer in the saddle, looking where the rider would normally be looking. IMO this is among, if not the best virtual ride on youtube. I haven't done much riding in a very long time, and must admit when I miss it more that usual, I click on this video. Wow! Memories . I was about fourteen volunteering to walk horses. Somehow I got on top of a thoroughbred (with saddle) and she took off. I remember those ears pulling back and the ride of my life. Sonehow I survived. Maybe the tall grass on nearby hill distracted her. I was never in control during the ride. She slowed down for a snack of of fresh grass I dismounted and we walked back to the barn. Exhilarating but was never repeated.
