Almost 1 year ago i was diagnosed with bone cancer at 18. I never played the piano and still dont know how to read the notes but I started leaning songs of einaudi because to me they are really magical. First i learned divinire, Nuvole bianche, I giorni, une matina and some other songs tonight I finished learning oltremare the night before my last chemotherapy tomorrow👏

IMO, rap shouldn't be considered as a music genre at all
Shivaree I'm a lover of piano music as I'm sure you are. But denying rap as a music genre is very small minder thinking. The whole Reading rap was created was to tell stories. Though I agree most of this new rap shit is bad. But there's some excellent story-telling rappers who are Some of the most talented musicians (!) there are at this moment.

Here I am playing rachmaninoff, chopin, liszt, debussy, etc, and it would never of happened if Einaudi didn't bring me into this classical world.

I'm still playing Einaudi/Tiersen etc, I like the classical you mentioned as well but this is just more beautiful to me, less technically advanced or not!

Omg! The first piece I learned was from Yann Tiersen's Amelie and my second was Einaudi's Giorni Dispari! I started at 12/13 and I maybe would've never picked up on the piano if it wasn't for those two! I fell in love when I first heard their pieces and I am still! I'm 21 now, turning 22, just learned Exit, about to learn Walk and Oltremare... whoever said Einaudi is too "simplistic", he is not. And even if it was, it's the small things that matter the most sometimes. There's so much emotion and feeling in everyone of Einaudi's pieces, still touch my heart and soul since day one ❤

My piano teacher complains whenever I want to learn an Einaudi song because it's "too simplistic for my level." After 9, going on 10, years, I'm finally making the decision to part ways with lessons as of the end of my next competition so I can finally have the freedom to play beautiful songs like these without judgement.
It is sad that some people believe that more complex or more notes is better. The important thing is what the composer wanted to transmit and wanted to make you feel. Play what you really want and love, so you can share tohse emotions with the people around you.
I reccomend the works of Yann Tiersen. I learned them for the same reason.
That's exactly why I'm teaching myself everything on the piano. No one can tell me what piece I should learn and when. I love the piano and playing a beautiful piece is magical, no matter how appropriate that piece might be for my level.

Some pieces from Ludovico einaudi are pretty simplistic indeed. But still composed with heart. Some pieces are truly wonderful.

This piece mix of: Una Mattina, Comptine d'un autre été, Porz Goret and Nuvole bianche. I swear listen carefully or compare the notes it's nearly the same :) 🖤
