This track is a mix of all the cues I wrote for Gascon. He was definitely my favourite character in the entire game. Loved his dialogues, art, card - pretty much everything about him.
This video starts with an introduction, then it transitions to "Taming A Stray" cue (that's player's way of calling it, to me it was just "Gascon Combat"). After that we switch to "Unlikely Ally" and it ends with "Duke of Dogs". The fiddle part was performed by Marta Zalewska and Viola Da Gamba was played by Piotr Zalewski.

There are three kinds of people in this world, those who rebuilt the Brossard tomb, those who couldn’t afford to, and the completely heartless.
Only 1 and 3 really exist because you get heaps upon heaps of money as the game progresses to the point not being able to afford something is far more impressive and downright impossible
@mango4554 try to play on bonebreaker difficulty. The resource limitation makes building the whole camp impossible, so don't having a money for that option is very realistic scenario
How do you make bandits more than just bandits?

When you create a theme that everybody immediately recognizes and connects to one character, that's when you've done things right :) When he rescued us in the prison and his theme started softly playing I almost cried :) Well done!

Taming a Stray is my most favorite theme from all of The Witcher universe games - it was instant goosebumps when I first heard it in the Thronebreaker. I admire your talent and the passion you put into this soundtrack, keep up the good work, looking forward to further badass music from you.

I actually ended up buying Unlikely Ally and Duke of Dogs on iTunes because I thought that Gascon‘s theme was one of the most uncanny themes of the entire soundtrack. The music in this game made it infinitely better and it is all thanks to amazing composers like you that I look back at games like this every once in a while with a smile on my face and think to myself "god damn, that was a good game."

P.T. Adamczyk I have even gotten back into Gwent recently because I heard the music you composed for the new faction. You and the rest of the composers at CDPR have been so consistent at making the most amazing soundtracks I‘ve ever heard throughout the recent years, I was surprised that the Game Awards didn‘t give Best Soundtrack to you guys, you deserve all the praise you get.
This melody is incredible ! i feel the cool side of Gascon. With the violin, it add a deepness, a think to a walk at night during fullmoon. Then comes a slower part kinda melancholic and mysterious with sweet notes.
This and Ysgith Theme are the best from Thronebreaker OST

That graveyard theme is just outstanding, and that is saying a lot considering this game has by far some of the best music I have ever heard in any of thousands of games I have ever played. Much better than Witcher 3, I think, and that itself is a bold statement if I've ever heard one.
I liked the character of Gascon so much and I am pretty sure this music is half of the reason. I finished this game about 5 weeks ago and this music is still playing inside of my head. I guess it's time for a second playthrough.

I swear, this is one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in any videogame. It's phenomenal, charismatic, brilliant. Thronebreaker is a masterpiece and its soundtrack perfectly suits the ambient and the characters.
It's not easy to impress me after all these years, but you're a damn genius, man. You should definitely work on more soundtracks in the future, hope to enjoy your works in upcoming games ❤️

Hello! I recently finished Thronebreaker and just want to say that I loved the music! Especially battle music! Really sticks with one after the game. Some of the tracks I like as much as Witcher III tracks if not even more. Thank you for making the game so enjoyable!

Hey, I'm a little late here but I have to tell you: your music really brought this game to life. Soundtracks have always been in my eyes one of the highest quality parts of any CDPR game, and Thronebreaker went truly above and beyond in this aspect (To Tame a Stray is dare I say my favorite score in all of gaming). The music in Gwent is incredible as well. When playing other card games, I would always have some Spotify playlist going on in the background, but not with Gwent. The soundtrack is just spectacular in that game. Congratulations on your work, and I hope to hear much of it going forward!

Wow, I can't believe you're the one who composed the Thronebreaker soundtrack! It was one of my all-time favorite soundtracks in any game, show, or movie. Just amazing. I finished the game recently, and I've been listening to Taming a Stray, Duke of Dogs, and Retribution over and over again, while I do writing and chores, and I've been linking the songs a lot to my friends as well.
Like you, Gascon was also my favorite character! But I genuinely think that he wouldn't have been as good, as interesting, and as complex, without the music that you wrote for him. The first time I heard his fight song, it just took everything to the next level. There's just this sense of chaos, mischief, violence, and wildness to it that made scenes go from good to crazy awesome. And then the graveyard scene! The moment the song started playing was the moment my tears started flowing. :P

Is this the actual composer’s account? If so, your music is simply amazing. These Gascon themes and the Eldain battle theme (which wasn’t on the original soundtrack) is some of the best music ever created, and certainly the best game/movie music. I keep having it on repeat.

Only just jumped into this game a few days ago on the Switch, but damn, I LOVED the first battle with Gascon! The music was definitely the most memorable part about it! Though playing alongside the animation of him cackling away, explosions going off in the background was pure magic! XD
I don't think there has ever been a soundtrack I've listened to more thoroughly than this one. Your work is amazing and it infused the whole game with so much more depth and emotion.

This is excellent! So cool to see composers engaging on CZcams. Have you ever thought about a video walking through your composing process? maybe walking through how you put together a piece like this? I've figured out the rough shape of the combat theme on the piano (melody and chord progression), but there's a lot of interesting rhythmic stuff going on too - I'd be curious to see what that looks like, how you write those elements

I honestly didn't spend much time playing Thronebreaker, I played through a couple hours and then I switched to other games.
Can't deny that game has stunning music though, and it inspires me alot as a Game Master for pen&paper games.

I think this Soundtrack is one of the reasons i liked gascon so much, the Rhythm and .elodie fits his Charakter perfectly and is a joy listening too.

"Taming a stray" to największy nieobecny w soundtracku do "Wojny Krwi", brakuje mi tam jeszcze przynajmniej tematu Eldaina. "Poskromienie Kundla" to według mnie najlepszy utwór na całej ścieżce dźwiękowej, i właśnie jego na niej nie umieszczono... Marzy mi się albo możliwość zakupienia poszerzonej wersji soundtracku lub choćby "singlowo" samego tematu "Taming a stray". To pewnie możliwe do zrobienia, skoro jedno i drugie miało miejsce w odniesieniu do Wiedźmina 3 (tam też "wielkim nieobecnym" była Wilcza Zamieć - możliwa potem osobno do kupienia, powstała też wersja rozszerzona głównego soundtracku). Serio, rzuciłbym się na to jak Hajdawer na pludry :)
It's the best sequence in all in-game music, but I never understand why Gascon Combat music was not put into OST album... Because it's perfect!

It occurs to me that Lyria, the kingdom that Meve is queen of, might be etymologically derived from the word "lyre".
I must wonder, since Gascon is fated to be a legendary sellsword captain Iron Falcons, is he named after the fabled Gascony Cadets of France? The regiment is known for being an army unit full of swashbuckling romantics and its also where the three musketeers were based off from.

Dlaczego utwór "Taming A Stray" nie jest uwzględniony w bonusowej zawartości? Kupowałem na steamie i jest tam "Unlikely Ally", oraz "Duke of Dogs", ale z jakiegoś powodu nie ten utwór.
Nie pamiętam :) chyba w owym czasie uznaliśmy że mamy już dwa tematy Gascona na soundtracku i trzeci to będzie too much.
