Loved this song in the 80s and still do. I sing frequently at work and such
Fun guitar solo ....fit nicely.
One of the greatest songs ever!
Always liked yer music
This song was mind blowing .. Absolutely love it
I absolutely love this album. This is the first time I really heard Moe talk. He is wonderfully articulate and sounds like a really good guy whose got his head on very straight. Just cool to hear. From a sort-of punkish rebellious sound, his interview style is so surprisingly down-to-Earth and intelligent that it just comes off as so very cool.
They had some MP3s of some of Moe's solo tours on the TPOH webpage where he'd tell stories & stuff. ( I dunno if the MP3s work anymore though ). He's fun to listen to.
Seriously underrated musician/songwriter. A Canadian treasure.
Great songwriter
TPOH was the bomb!
Loved Moe and the band.
I have to admit I bought love junk like I bought anything produced by Todd rundgren. But I just fell for Moe's lyrics and songwriting. I actually preferred the later records, but was very happy for the band when I'm an adult now really took off here in America. I was living in Seattle at the time, and remember great weekends going to Vancouver to try and find anything the pursuit of happiness!! Thanks to everyone in the band!! Still one of the best live acts I've ever seen.
Always adored this tune and video in its original form.
Moe is one of my musical heroes. Best version of the song right here. Love the Waylon t-shirt!
Great song. It's lasting impression has far outlasted it's implications in the music scene 👍😛♥️
Part of the soundtrack to my teenaged years. I saw Moe thrice in Toronto. Twice at The Bay (Queen and Yonge) and once just walking down Queen St. Very nice.
Actually his solo in She's So Young was really good.
Suddenly I want my long 80s hair and lumber jacket back
Hey there's a convention coming up for that type of costume, but you have to wear a mask, and get jabbed
We love Moe!
Moe Berg is one of the nicest down to earth rock stars that I've met
One of the greatest Canadian singles ever. Up there with The Demics and Slow.
Mow berg is literally a adult now
3 crushes in my life: Tim Curry, Ted Neely and MOE BERG!!!
Since I first heard this song in the country in Manitoba as a kid I have pretty much always had a copy of Love Junk in my music collection.
Flash forward many years later and the 2nd place that I lived when I moved to St. Albert had Moe's High School in the back yard. It ticks me off that you can walk around that town, talk about TPOH and almost nobody knows who the hell yer talking about. Lol
Liked that band.
Love this song, especially this version. Saw these guys live so many times back in the day, always a fantastic show. Even when the pyro went off at the wrong time 🙂
Yay Moe! I had this 12". Thanks for this. I think this version ended up on a Canadian comp called "Canadian Gold" (1987??) before there was an LP
TPOH was great!
Literally just sent this video to my niece as she got off her mom's phone plan and is officially paying all her own bills at 28 ! It's brilliant and so true thank you for writing it😹😻
Awesome guitar riff by Moe, Berg. Love the t-shirt of the outlaw Waylon Jennings
I remember this song was released twice.
Great band.
I didn’t know they had a Todd Rundgren connection.
cool
Canadian 80's alternative rock
Saw him play twice in the early 90s in London, Ontario. With TPOH at a concert in the park, and later with another small band, whose name I forget, where he played guitar for a female lead singer. Can't remember her name either. They were good but not famous.
why we got two left hand speakers ?
I did like the song at the time but now that I'm adult now (get it) LoL its ok
Kinda worked out ....
cool song but i found that the bass sound had no punch too flat.
Always sounded like terrible suck ass standard blues guitar to me.
Maybe i was a little ummm .. cuz i see alot of people like the band......so i digress and apologize . Who am i to judge
Lol , bad day, and i never liked this kind of thing myself, then or now . Ive heard worse tho , in the spirit of being fair
Who picks these corny tracks ? ya i get it todd rundgren lil name drop there huh?
Electronic drums stupid lyrics .
The solos not terrible if you like obnoxious guitar tones....
Next
They mostly only get to do canadian bands unless some foreign artist is passing through so it's not like there's a great collection of songs they get to pick from. Anyway this is far from being a bad song compared to some others they had. There's way too much barenaked ladies for example...
A criminally overlooked band! Especially here in the States where those who remember this single would call the band a one hit wonder. They were missing out because their debut album Love Junk is a masterpiece of sugary sweet hooks, angelic female harmonies along with Moe's wry tongue in cheek observational lyrics on the pitfalls of growing up and being naive and in love.
I own and love all of their albums and they never released a bad, or for that matter a mediocre one. To this day I can't listen to them without getting goosebumps. Amazing band who's music has aged well in my opinion.
Maybe because they didn't produce many records. 5?
