  • In this video, we will look at recovering refrigerant from a system using a passive recovery method, or in other words, recovering the refrigerant without the use of a recovery machine, but only using a scale and a recovery tank. This method can easily be used on small appliances or small refrigeration systems.

    why is the filter drier called a "drier" ? surely there would never be moisture in the refrigerant ?

      Good question! This is why I'm having a webinar on the 16th. It is important to purge the hoses when you hook up gauges to a system. A lot of technicians will not have low loss fittings although the EPA recommends that everyone uses low loss fittings. When this happens moisture can be introduced to the system. And also when people do not pull a good vacuum, meaning that they are not using a micron gauge or pulling down to 500 µm. sometimes says technicians we forget proper procedures and we make mistakes.
