    That you cried because it's so beautiful there is very touching. Thanks for your vulnerability. Tears of joy and deep feeling are powerful. When I was on the Camino in 2015, I had some very powerfully emotional days. I'm glad no one encourged me to smile. They accepted where I was. I so loved seeing the kitty you met. ✨

    Cruz de los valientes has a long history about a rivalry between the towns of Grañon and Nájera. There in Grañon there is a wonderful bar own by two Peruvians, I interviewed them in my channel. I totally recommend them. The communal dinner is an experience no one should miss.

    I’m so pleased that you had a beautiful day, and when you cried with joy in your heart , it did put a lump in my throat.
    Really and truly felt I wanted to be there in that beautiful place right then. God willing, I hope to walk the Camino next year
    You are blessed with a beautiful heart and soul, keep safe always. And a beautiful voice too

    Hi Rachael, I am doing my Camino in June 2021 (Hopefully things will be better by then). I am doing a smaller version (2 weeks...73 miles or so) This particular video was very touching....I felt like I was there with you. Your descriptions are very helpful and are giving me an idea about what to expect....even though I do understand that everyone’s journey is different. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. God Bless.

    Can I ask why you started so early? I am doing the Frances this year a few days later than your start but planning to go straight through to Roncesvalles so maybe I'd be where you are in this video on the same date. It is not so hot that you had to start in the dark like people do in July and August. So why the early start? Great videos!

    Hi Rachael. This was last year. We are now in 2020 and it is such a sad thing that we are in this strange lockdown. I was planning to do the Camino this year in September; but looks like this is going to be very difficult. Could you please tell me a few things, from your experience of doing it that I should pay attention to. Thanks. Really liked your presentation. Thanks again. How are you now and what's your feelings about having done this?

    • @IllGetThere
      @IllGetThere  Před 3 lety

      Thank you so much!! Really, there is so much about the Camino that you cannot put into words, but if you have any specific questions, I’m happy to address them! Check out the other videos, too . I know they’re quite lengthy, but I tried to add many of my thoughts along the way. All I know is that the Camino is still calling me back and hopefully I will be able to return soon. Until then, stay safe and be well!! Buen Camino! 👣

      Thanks, Rachael. I think your name is Rachael, for your reply. I can imagine how much more value you have added to your life. God bless your onward journey of life. Which month did you start on your Camino ? I am watching your other days on the Camino and they are doing nothing but making me almost die to do it. Am waiting for this lockdown to end and for normal travel to begin again. The last I can start if possible this year would be September end; otherwise have to wait for April next year. Not a good idea to do the Camino in the winter months when many of the staying places close down I'm told.

    • @IllGetThere
      @IllGetThere  Před 3 lety +1

      I’m so glad you’re enjoying them! I think the winter provides certainly many different challenges, but the landscapes are gorgeous! I hope you will make your way soon. Buen Camino! 👣

    Thanks Rachelle for you update...it was so comforting since we have only been back in San Diego two weeks now from our Camino. I have found it difficult to be back and away from the Camino Culture and all that it has to offer. I feel the need to return. I hope I am not alone with these feelings....Buen Camino.

      I know it’s just a matter of time before I return to the Camino!! I miss the simplicity and it’s been overwhelming to be back, but trying to apply what I’ve gleaned from the Camino to “real life”. Wishing you the best as we figure out this post-Camino life....🙏👣

    Beautiful views!!! I am curious how you are adjusting back home, but for now I am happy there are still more videos ;) when I stayed in granon the power went out and we ate in the dark with headlamps. The bakery was really cute. I was very surprised when the lady inside spoke amazing English. thanks for sharing your journey :) Miriam

      Adjusting is going fairly well, but I am keeping very busy already. I miss the simplicity of the Camino life, though. Will touch on that probably in a follow up video at some point. 😊
