The trooper with the bucking horse showed his mount in a very gentle patience trusting way …I am boss. It worked ..he deserves that riding stirrup patch. Great job.
Long Guard meaning the King is in residence . Beautifully handled by the Trooper , the spur on his right arm indicates he is a Riding Instructor . Look at the shine on the horses coats , the hours of grooming , the reflections on the cuirass hours of polishing ! Most people don't know how hard these Troopers work standing duty at Horse Guards is just a small part .

What an amazing video it really shows how these young men and women are our most treasured generation, duty dedication empathy horsemanship and stoic determination to see it through good old fashioned british ethics i am an ex infantryman from way back but seeing these videos for the last three weeks has made me wish i had joined the household cavalry, well done to the household division my eyes have really been opened. and well done to trooper jefferies for standing your ground with pride despite the assault by the tourists. love to all.
It is extraordinary how many horses are rearing up lately … something is irritating them….someone or something is causing this..that many horses at the same length of recent time rearing throwing their troopers should be looked into. It is happening recently to many times to be a coincidence. It is not from lack of training. So many horses in flight mode now. They have the most acute sense of smell, hearing and eyesight.
People are incredibly ignorant! They stand next to the guards for a photo to be taken, they then just walk off, they do not even look at the guard, never mind say thank you.🤬
I read your comment and had to back and watch again, I bet the horse had a case of bad belly ache, the rearing up probably helped the horse do its business, I bet it had wind also, and the farts stink. I’d be gagging, but obviously the soldiers are used to it now. It does make me laugh How a horse will wave its tail when it poops or breaks wind, like it’s swishing the smell away lol, it Can’t be easy for a guard in the hot summer when on Box duty. But if the horse has to go it has to go, just like us humans. I wish I had a tail I could get out on the bus sometimes and waft away sometimes because Someone has farted and the bus is full and hot.
