I also felt the same regarding the lack of consequences. At first I thought it would matter. When i started the game you had to choose to whom to give the letter - Taka or Katsura. Taka clearly expected me to give it to her (I met both before the mission) and when I gave it to Katsura then met Taka later, it was as if nothing happened... this is just bad.
Consequences are a part of the reason I love Fromsoftware games, especially Bloodborne and Sekiro. You can get different endings, different items, different dialogue options by just interacting with NPCs. But in Rise of The Ronin, It doesn’t matter which faction you should since the outcome is the same.
I was hoping Katsura would tell me to go away if I betrayed him. I'm disappointed.
I also thought it was weird that Taka didn’t even mention the letter when you don’t give it to her.
Ine, the doctor lady is also very jealous. 😅
When I do mission replays for the Shogunate I wear the Shensingumu attire and choose Okita and Saito as my allies!
soji also has one some of the most goated moves which i wish we can unlock Mumyo ken and the fast back dash blade wave

Soji is straight goated & definitely deserves a top 3 spot in terms for the hardest boss to fight. Dude is swinging an odachi like he has a regular katana….. bro is like a black haired Vergil & sephiroth 🐐
Soji was my first Veiled Vow 😍 I’ll veil vow anyone else for the reward, but break up after because I don’t want to Soji to get jealous 😅

@@Djisso I never used my pistol seriously until I saw Ryoma and Saito bend bullets too it was always shuriken and rifle 😂😂 but not anymore

I like the guy with the hat and the bombs he boosts the other teammates blessing so if you have him and this guy you’d have even more damage from skills
I think thats Kaishu ? He can blind people as well which is nice. Unless you are talking about Shinsaku who plays the guitar or something

I really enjoyed this game and I know dlc is coming. Team ninja always delivers on the dlc in their games.

I think most of the hours I had in past Team ninja games was spent when a dlc dropped. Hopefully the loot is better and the new enemies more challenging

There are vendors who sell glasses, eyepatches, and monocles. Also other assorted accessories simply for looks.

@Djisso in ally missions they have a chance to drop their unique accessories I got like 3 of them just farming other halves mission
I was looting chests and killing enemies
The game is good because combat. However choices in the game are useless. Nothing changes. You get same ending no matter what path or dialogue you use. Thats why the game is not more then a 8/10. Its just addictive combat. But nothing else to see.
