I did a semester in ROTC and we got loaded up with like 5 MREs on our ftx. I swear there was a whole black market made on just trading MRE supplies.

I have had lukewarm spaghetti from a takeaway restraunt and it was terrible but I imagine mre lukewarm spaghetti would be worse.
I've never used the heater. Even now that I'm in AIT and have all the time in the world to eat

The raspberry first strike bar is good
Shredded beef in barbecue sauce is still one of my favorites
U can’t put a lot of bbq sauce tho because then it taste nasty
The first MRE I tried was the chicken chunks. I made fajitas from it, but sadly no frh to heat the chicken. Was still pretty good, especially with the buffalo sauce.

I had a bad beef and mushroom one once, gave me the double dragon for two days and a trip to sick call. Chili mac was my favorite.

Underrated opinion but the pepperoni pizza mre and the beef taco are prolly one of the best mre’s. Cheese tortellini is alright but everyone always wants that for pudding that comes with it. Pepper jack beef patty is alright too if u don’t mind that it’s not real meat.

I've had a PB&J cracker one, and it was pretty good. Of course, I'm not a picky eater; and even less so if I'm super hungry. This was a fun video. Really enjoyed it!
The best way to open a MRE is with your CAC. This is something we did at BCT, and I still do.
Chicken Pesto is probably my favorite MRE, good food and the snacks are great.

I got the Chicken Chunks today thinking it would have M&Ms. It didn't, but the BBQ corn nuggets were good. I traded away a part of my meal (I forget which one. It was a good one) for cobbler. However, it wasn't cobbler. It was garlic mashed potatoes. I stabbed a hole in that and threw it

We lived off MRE’s for a few weeks after Hurricane Katrina. Those definitely were good ones. I hated the beef stew the most. You should definitely get one she has to cook.
When it’s cold out and the strike bar turns into a hockey puck. I damn near broke my teeth eating that 😂

I hate trying to open the bags. The banana bread is like really sweet though. The drink mixes are for like when your on the go but, the shake takes a certain ratio

I always got Beefaroni Pasta, Spaghetti, Chilli Cheese Mac, Chicken & Dumplings. I never got to try anything else except Chicken Ala King. They tuck it off the list because people kept getting salmonella- food poisoning for some reason.
The Cajun foods were my favorite MREs.

When I first joined the military the had C-rations and even when we switched over to MRE in the 80's none of that sounds as good as the modern MRE's, what lemon pepper. Boy I envy the soldiers of today. I bet no one has even heard of a P38, LMAO :)
Chili Mac is by far the best main entree mre but my personal favorite is beef gulaush or vegetable crumble is a solid one

You're not allowed to have Poggy Bait in Recruit Tranning . You have to hide it they walk by and conviscate it like it's contraband .
It depends on your company. We were allowed to eat the candy, but some companies had to throw theirs away

My hubby will let me try some MRE. Lol he told me they are not the best, but since I have never had a MRE he will pack some up for me. The MRE will be good for earthquakes, or any disasters plus camping. Cannot wait to have my first one maybe I will be lucky too.

The three most likely to be traded, Tuna, Frankfurters and Beans, and Freeze Dried Pork Patty. ha ha ha The Tuna is the only one left out of those. My favorites now are Kosher and Halal.
