- Our trip back to Max Patch which was one of my favorite areas of the Appalachian Trail and probably my favorite bald. I also share some of the history that I just learned about some of the origins the made Max Patch what it is today.

Interesting seeing all the day hikers. I began to recount the many times I passed over the Mtn. Weird 11 times over that Mtn and never saw another hiker up there, other than the thru's I happen to be traveling with. It's actually nice to find people recreate up theyah. Wicked view.

I hate the road up to max patch but love the woods and the trail
I thru hiked nobo 2017 , I got beat up with snow rain and wind in the Smokies. I came to max patch on a sunny day. I'm trailsick too, :(

We are planning to camp there for one night, never been there but I’ve seen tons of videos and hear amazing stories. Do you know if we can camp there ? I’ve seen videos with tents, and do we need a bear canister? Any advice would be appreciate it.
I think you need to hike the AT again.
