  • Adeel Afzal is a content creator who used to work at Mangobaaz and now makes a series of videos on social issues called 'Bayan Baazu'.
Adeel comes on the podcast for a long discussion on the many problems faced by Pakistan, from Imran Khan's governance to the role of the establishment in politics, from Pathan Jokes to hateful xenophobia against ethnicities, from old babbay controlling every institution to the Tik Tok ban.
The Pakistan Experience is a podcast looking to tell stories about Pakistan, and Pakistanis, through the lost art of conversation.

Thanks, Shehzad, for this detailed conversation over a myriad of topics. I am an Indian living in Australia for the last decade and it is absolutely true that the striking similarities between the two populations are glaringly obvious once we step out of our country. We are similar to the point that our politicians have been using the same excuses and methods to keep us subdued. Although I stopped agreeing with their version of history long ago, it is still very informative to hear this podcast and listen to your viewpoints.
Adeel, I have enjoyed your recent performance in Parizaad and hope to see you in many more wonderful projects. This podcast was a pleasant surprise and I have enjoyed it more so because both of you were very articulate in presenting your thoughts. Kudos, to both of you. God Bless!

The point on attaching self identity to a different individual's indentity or another group identity is so true. It can happen for so many reasons social, economic, part of a refuge or to seek belonginness etc. Very relevant to politics and rise of charismatic leaders in politics today. It really gave me food for thought. TPE podcasts are really enriching.

He is wrong at Maulana Azad and Mahdudi. Maulana Azad grew up in Mecca and he was a hardcore Islamist. He didn't want partion of Pakistan because he thought muslim league was too foolish because they were settling with a small part of the subcontinent. He believed that whole ' Hindustan ' belonged to Muslims and he was in hangover of Mughal Empire. He wanted glory Muslim domination back. That's why he was against partion because he believed that after some time the whole subcontinent will be under muslim power so there is no need to make an another country. He was first education minister and he whitewashed tyranny of Muslim Invaders, favours muslim league got from their masters ( Britishers) , Direct action day, Racial supremacist attitude of Muslim league's leaders. He was a very cunning man and he played very well. I think he used Al-taqquiya pro-max.
