Ah damn. From the thumbnail I thought you'd try beat Urizen in mission 10. I haven't seen that happen with anyone else yet, but when I fought him I was able to break his shield and take like a third of his lifebar before the cutscene of Dante being defeated initiated
Ah okay. I didn't see that. If I remember correctly with me it happened when I was playing Son of Sparda difficulty. In Hell and Hell I think the mission was done after I broke the crystal

Not really because I primarily use rebellion over DSD and only switch to it for DSD specific things in most cases. So I haven't used it enough for my brain to think of it as the new default sword.

Goliath is slower tough. Beowulf was really scary on my first time because he is the most aggressive dmc3 boss. Dodging those attacks without trickster equipped was insanely hard. If you hit Beowulf on the eye he wail his hands all around hitting you if you are close to him. While goliath swings while standing still, Beowulf punches through while walking towards you. Which means that depending on which side his punch is coming from, you have to dodge to another direction. Sometimes he swing back his hand to punch with an aoe attack that can only be dodged by jumping above his head to his back. And while goliath takes a bunch of seconds to cast his long range attack, which can be dodged by just running to the opposite direction, Beowulf simply opens his arms and swings a bunch of feathers towards you. All Beowulf attacks give you less than 1 second to appropriately react to it, and he is far more punishing for it. I like Dmc3, 4 and 5 all the same. Dmc4 and Dmc5 take an approach where we have longer fights, but with less threats so we can enjoy the fight more. Still, Beowulf is a boss that stood out for me, because his identity fits really well to his fight style. His hatred towards Sparda and his kin drives him blind for vengeance. And we really feel his hatred on those punches, kicks and feathers lol
@@rumplstiltztinkerstein One tip with Beowulf. If you stand really close to Beowulf, his first hit of his regular punching combo ALWAYS misses so you can continue to combo him and not dodge until his second punch. Makes the fight A LOT easier.
I recently uploaded a video where using SDT saves my @$$ from that vortex move lol. I didn't know you could royal guard it like that! These videos, the guides especially, have made this game so much deeper and rewarding to play, thank you SO MUCH for making them!!
When you took that single hit, I was almost expecting the screen to go black and white while sad piano music started playing. But it was worth it to see the continuation and those crazy Royal Guards!
This is still outstanding, it's hard as fuck to restrict yourself to just 3 weapons when you have so much artillery to use. You still did outstanding and I'm digging your style Devil Hunter, keep up the good work. Can't wait for your next vid!
Dante is so voluntarily celibate that he won't even let Goliath give him the non-sexy battle succ. Jokes aside that was freakin awesome! I get caught out quite often with his swings, I just can't quite get them down. Also were you using Rebellion as a challenge or is it your preferred sword?

Sparda was thematic, rebellion represented the dual personality of Dante, molding his human and demon side, so DSD looks like a thorny slab of concrete? Idk man, why Rebellion nerfed though?
DkXboxer Can you not see that it’s a mix of Rebellion and Sparda? It is shaped like the rebellion with demonic features and protrusions like with Sparda, I can see why it was designed that way.

The hilt has demonic claws on it taking inspiration for Sparda’s demonic protrusions, but the base blade itself is based on the rebellion. The description literally says it’s the rebellion reborn. So the base blade is like the rebellion, and when it opens it takes the demonic characteristics of sparda. As for it looking bland, that’s just your opinion, I think it looks great, way better than rebellion’s design in DMC5.

Honestly Dante doesn't have a design that I love. DMC4 Dante is probably the best but there are a few things that I just don't like about it. Nero looks great in both. Vergil looks fantastic in DMC5, especially in his alt. But V tho... Well V knows how to summon my demons if you know what I'm saying *wink wink*

He may be the first boss, but doesn’t mean that he should be slept on. His pattern can hit you if you underestimate his range.

How you can change styles so easily and effective. When I'm trying to mix then up I get confused. This is so hard for the average dmc player.
I had the same problem. I just practiced to the point where it just became natural. Id also recommend customizing your controls.
