I have a 1980 MGB. That started life with a US serviceman in Germany, then went to Southern California , then ended up in Colorado, I bought it and took it to NYC, and it’s now back home in Scotland. I hope you have as much fun working on your car as I have on mine. Everything is available and easy to work on. Good luck.
Thank you for your comment. I really enjoy hearing the stories of the car. I am always fascinated by the journey the car travelled on its way to my garage. I think it is the best part of the car. I wish I was in Scotland driving my MG. Thank you again, Bob
Thank you for your comment. I thought it was a great story that needed to be shared. Working on new videos now and posting as I go. Let me know how I'm doing. Cheers, Bob
You're my hero. After I sell my TR6 I will be looking for an MGA Coupe. It was my brother's first car. It was adorable. Thanks for watching. Part one of the restoration should be posted in about a week. It takes me longer to produce the video than it does to do the work. Cheers
Ok I'm in Somerset England and I'm ready for the journey, I hope you take the little car all the way , the story alone was priceless and I think you have a little treasure on your hands ...
Thank you so much for your comment. Always enjoy hearing from across the pond. I plan on doing a ground up restoration. It will be painted its original Iris Blue. I will be posting videos of my progress along the way and hope you enjoy taking the journey with me. Let me know how I'm doing. Cheers, Bob
Good Luck with your restoration ! I’ve just acquired a 1964 B as well GHN3L/ 47340 - build date 09/28/64 I’m trying to discover it’s history, but you know much more about yours!
Thank you for your comment. Good eye catching the color differences. I'll be sure to mention that in the upcoming video. But so you don't have to wait, Someone painted the car the Blue/Green it is now. It's an old paint job and I think they were going for BRG but missed. As far as the red, when the previous owner pulled the engine his intent was to paint the entire car red so he painted the engine compartment red, with a brush. My plan is to have the shell media blasted and primed with epoxy primer then return it to its original color of Iris Blue. (Robin Egg Blue). Keep watching. Cheers, Bob

I had a 67 BGT and a 72 BGT after my 60 MGA Coupe. Have another MGA coupe now along with two Healey 3000. All great cars.

What is the original color?
Red in the engine compartment ?
Green every where else ?
Iris Blue. One of the best, if not the best, colors MG used.
