Cool memories and that looks like a fun river to float. Cool it's right in town
@@driftstone yeah it’s got some really nice fish in it also, this video doesn’t do it justice. Cool thing is we can launch 10 mins after work.
@@NWoutdoorsadventures That's too awesome. I've got the Klamath about 30 min away, but that's in a holding pattern as it recovers from dam removal. Fingers crossed it will be good this winter
Great video
@@oldsmugglerflyfishing thank you so much for the support!
Ive had to chase after a boat to just be glad the water wasn’t 45 degrees. Nice video
@@EeRock507 I appreciate the support! Yeah a month earlier this would have ended the trip right there.
Hi Steve, good job.
Nice video 👍
@@paulh3307 thank you for watching 😀
Isn’t it great to watch a first fish on the fly? I used to drive by the Spokane and think I need to get into fly fishing. Started 3 years ago, my home river is also “urban”, trash/meth etc.. but you can still find some pretty private beautiful places.
@@MV-Dan I agree ! Besides the more people care about the river the more conservation efforts it drives.
Yep. My dad used to take me to beach clean ups as a kid. I bring my daughter to the annual river clean up now.
@@MV-Dan I’m hoping to teach my kids the same habits when they get older 😀
Excellent job guys, I was out on the River probably at the same time just further down on Long Lake. Beautiful Redbands and fish handling technique. I’d love to learn how to fly fish, I’m probably on the same level as Samong currently. I have a tenkara rod that I mess around with however. Love the content and hope to see you on the water sometime!
@@owe89us Please say hi if you see me! Hey we all started in the same keep getting after it man. Tankaras are great 👍. You can do practically anything I do with those rods when it comes to dry flies.
@@NWoutdoorsadventures shall do man, hope to see you out there!
That's my local put in!
@@adamt4199 me and you both buddy !
Nice Steve, great video as always! Looks like a gorgeous place for a float!
@@timdurfee8802 It’s a cool river ! Thank you for the support!
Where is that raft launch in spokane!!! I've been trying to find it on maps but no luck. Please help!!
Got a review of that raft/setup?! I'm *shopping* right now.
Just trying to think of brands, quality, durability, etc... I mostly ( 99%) fish alone so I wonder how the whole shuttle thing works. How/where to launch, get back to the launch, get back to my pickup... all that! haha

Rad. I’ve been in Spokane five years now, still haven’t floated the river but I’ve always wanted to catch a red band. Do you guide at all? My father in law says he wants to learn to fly fish.
@@kristoffernewsom9954 I don’t guide personally, reach out to Silver bow fly shop here in Spokane. They provide great guided trips on the Spokane river.
Nice vid. Are these wild fish?
@@nonewherelistens1906 it’s a complicated question yes and no. Between Idaho border and Spokane the fish are naturally spawned no stocking. Those fish are believed to be descendants of steelhead. Lower Spokane I believe have had some stocking (lake Spokane) in 1980s. I would have to research some online sources to give exact evidence based answers. To the best of my knowledge all fish in the Spokane river current undergo natural spawning process, that’s why they close it in the spring.
@@NWoutdoorsadventures Thanks for your reply. Looks like a fun urban river.
Most garbage are from the homeless unfortunately
first video ive seen of this channel and that boat launch showed me how clueless you are
@@marvvv0146 perhaps you’re right, yet we still had caught fish and had a great day on the water 😀🎣, tight lines dude.
@@NWoutdoorsadventures respect the reply and glad you had a great day. Just was shocked at that launch....maybe you did it that way for clicks and comments so well played
