alex caruso is super underrated this interiew really showed his awareness
Lakers fans been knowing Caruso is THAT guy

Couldn’t have put it better myself
Calm down
Half the game is mental. Caruso understands that
Very true! I would say more than half though
Damn near 60/40
@Clutch7 mental toughness is what they talking about not elite brain
90/10
This show is so good because these guys are actually active NBA players just talking about essentially their job
the gap between their basketball knowledge, and the "analysis" by old players that have been out the league for a while, its like night and day
Sam Presti truly is a genius. I respect him alot, he saw The Process and will probably create a greater one in the mid to late 2020’s
And here they are lol
Bro is from the future
who’s here after the thunder traded for him
He'll bust his *ss for Thunder for this. What a steal for Thunder! Getting rid of highly overrated Giddey and acquiring Caruso are wild!
I see lotta comments, okc fans are not on board thinking he is a role player,he is more than a role player...if u trust him ,he will have biggest heart in that okc team...Lakers made a mistake ,bulls now...
He back
Sam Presti can spot talent like a bum spot change
I've noticed all the rumors and the stories about him over the past year is evident why he's one of the best GM in the game...the pg situation, caruso story, how he handled carmelo etc...He is legit.
Spot them but can he keep them?
@@elaw1983 hes currently working on that so he wouldnt make the same mistake with the OKC Dynasty where he didnt get anything in return for KD and also not getting the mist out of Harden. Thats why this tine around he make sure he keeps them by preparing an solid future for OKC with an war chest of draft picks for 7 years with 38 draft picks on hand and him who's in the of drafting for those picks is already scary to watch since he drafted so many great players and signed some really great ones as well hid one for talent is unmatched also their developement team is one of the best not to mention their coaching staff who's already setting an winning environment for these young lads reminder the Thunder was projected to make it to the playoffs if SGA didnt got injured and if they havent benched horford for the rest of the season then traded some of their veteran players they would have make it but the coaching staff was smart enough to spread the minutes and develope the young players more with giving them playing time to figure out which players who are stand outs and really wants to prove themselves now OKC would kniw which lineups and combination of players to put on the floor when their on the court Presti is the GM you dont wanna mess with he will finesse you in every way especially with that beard of his lmao clearly goated 🐐
The man Presti is obsessed with Basketball
Knowing your role and Staying in your lane are the intangible mantra AC probably plays by.
Sam Presti the goat of gms
Here after Caruso got traded to the Thunder.
Welcome to OKC! #thunderup
Who’s here after Sam Presti traded for Caruso to be back on the team ⚡️
Sam Presti is my savior
Sam Presti tha 🐐🐐
Just to make it in the NBA is a huge honor and accomplishment. If I made it in the NBA, I wouldn't care what my role is as long as I can contribute.
It must be so challenging for someone like Alex Caruso. He was probably the best player in the majority of his junior basketball team's. To have the self-awareness to seek an initial opportunity as a role player shows maturity.
Damnnnnnn full circle moment
Damn this was RAW. Gonna have to check out the whole interview.

Now he is on okx
Caruso is great player, im just saying my opinion
that's a fact, not an opinion
We all share this opinion
@WVY KING we all share your opinion. In fact its not opinion but rather its fact
Hes definitely not trash and he ain't a liability like Danny Green and kuzma he's good at what he does which is a role player
@@josevilleda791 anyone who thinks Captain America Alex Caruso is trash is not a basketball fan
And now AC is a thunder again. Full circle
Just noticed Alex Caruso is the first and only player to make it out of OKC and win a ring without joining a superteam of 3 all stars
Ibaka
He just happened to fall into a situation with the Goat and best big man in the league
not like KD did... nudge..nudge
Be a star in your role
if only kuzma had this dude's work ethic smh.
What makes you think Kuzma doesn't have his work ethic?? Kuz got hurt working out SMH
@@user-ix8gm5rs3y I get all of that, but there was a point where he was dyeing his hair, and was more focused on ig thots, I still have my doubts on his commitment to the game.
@@IDK_0402 So that means he is not a hard worker?? So you are telling me you'd rather have Caruso over Kuz?
@@user-ix8gm5rs3y Yes
@@user-ix8gm5rs3y unless kuz can prove he can be consistent and reliable, i'd pick caruso over him 8/10 times. caruso is a great defender and a hustler and will do anything to be a positive on the floor. can't say the same for kuz, when his shot isn't dropping he's practically useless.
He just needs a better 3 ball, he isn’t a big threat from behind the arc. He can drive and kick well.
He shot well his second year in the NBA. Then he fell of last year. It might be just nerves, like he said.
Despite his bald, he is just 26. He will get better
If he became like a consistent 35-40 % from behind the Arc, He would probably be one of the greatest role players in the league RN
I’d say ball handling and shiftness can be attained in game so when in tight situations he can create off the dribble and score or create more for teammates if he adds that to his game he can become a potential star maybe even all star
Stretch
I love him as a player, but no...
His scoring is not good enough. All he can do is hit open threes at an average rate and maybe drive in for a finish occasionally. And I’m not hating. He’s a great teammate and all but he’s very limited as a scorer.
Humble
Alex caruso will be all nba defensive team in next few years he is that good in defence
What are the 5 core nba offensive actions JJ always mentions?

The same reason that some people hate on Caruso is the same reason that Stephen Curry, James Harden, Steve Nash, and Allen Iverson won MVPS over LeBron, Kawhi, Kevin Garnett, and Tim Duncan -- a lot of people don't care about defense -- all they look at is offense. Stephen Curry is the greatest offensive player in the NBA. But he didn't deserve an MVP over players who play great defense, like Lebron, Kawhi, or Kevin Durant.
Steph Curry more than deserved his MVP, Harden and Iverson are debatable though
Curry lead the league in steals one of his MVP seasons
Who hate alex caruso man? Nobody hate him...and why bringing up mvp?
@@tarcisiusaryopriatmoko1947 I just had a long debate with someone on CZcams about how useful Caruso is to the Lakers. The guy claimed that Caruso is a scrub.
I brought up MVPs because it is proof that a lot of people under value defense, which is Caruso's best attribute.
@@jshaunanderson3957 I love Curry. He is one of my favorite players to watch. But he always guards the second best guard on the other team -- Klay Thompson guards the best guard.
Also, too much gambling on defense in order to get steals is something that poor defenders, like Allen Iverson, often do. Although, that's not the case for Curry. He is a pretty disciplined defender (he just has a hard time keeping his guy from flying by him).
The reason I brought up gambling to get steals is that steals aren't always a sign that someone is a good defender; sometimes, steals are a sign that you gamble on defense and because you are so good on offense, your coach puts up with it and doesn't bench you. I remember Sprewell used to gamble to get steals on the Knicks. It used to drive me crazy because he didn't have to -- he was an excellent defender when he didn't gamble. But because he gambled he got lots of steals and he allowed a bunch of easy baskets when the gamble didn't pay off. Overall, gambling to get those steals made him a much worse defender than he would have otherwise been.
But in regards to Curry, my whole spiel about gambling is irrelevant because he doesn't do it. I just went off on a tangent because you used steals as a benchmark for how good a defender someone is and it's not a great benchmark. There have been great defenders, like Shane Battier, who were excellent at staying in front of their man and contesting shots but who didn't get a lot of steals.
Didn’t like a week ago JJ said Caruso was all hype from fans and wasn’t much talent ? 😂😂😂😂 love Caruso and JJ tho
Bald Eagle mentality 🤫🤫🤫
LBJ is out there looking like Caruusooo!
😊
Lol why is the other dude there I never see him talk
Watch the full pod
Essentially, what I am getting out of this is that guys don't understand that there are only a certain number of slots and that there will be qualified players that are good enough to play in the league that won't simply because there aren't enough roster spots. This means there is NBA-caliber talent that is not in the league because there aren't enough open jobs. Would you rather wait for an opening or fill a specific need? So. "clean the NBA bathrooms" or keep waiting...?
