About Married with Children:
The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. With offbeat humor and unflinching honesty, Married... paints a more realistic picture of middle-class existence, warts and all. Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill) is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. Al is terrified of the all-too-frequent amorous advances of his ditsy wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), who spends most of Al's wages at the salon and the mall. They have two teenage kids: stunning but superficial party animal Kelly (Christina Applegate) and egocentric Bud (David Faustino). Married for 16 semi-blissful years, Peggy and Al have found that the secret to a happy marriage is to accept one another's idiosyncrasies.

Lol at the way Al warms his thumb and bowls.
Only Al can be so cool and a total clown at the same time lol
The best part of this episode to me was Steve selling "being a Bundy" so easily.
He knew exactly what to do
You can tell everyone in front and behind the camera had so much fun making this show.
When Christina came in holding her overcoat closed you just knew something special was about to happen. What an absolute spunk.
That dress was superb, I really liked her style, even if it isn't that revealing like this one. She is just beautiful and adoreable when she plays dumb. Very good actress on top.
Being a teen I remember new episodes came on at 9pm Sundays and it didn't matter where I was or what I was doing, I'd make sure I got home to watch MWC. My friends parents couldn't believe that my parents let me watch the show. I told them that "I and my parents know the difference between make believe TV comedy that's Hella funny and real life." There wasn't no repeats for new TV shows in those days. You miss it, that it and had to wait until another station picked it up for reruns years later or hopefully knew someone who recorded it on VHS. Those were the days, when people laughed and didn't get butt hurt over every little thing.
My dad and I had the same kind of problem (no repeats) with DALLAS.
The fox Friday night lineup
They would never let a show like this today.
It was definitely 8:30 pm in Chicago Sunday nights 🤣 I would not go to bed until I watched my Sunday night line up lol
Dammit, I adore the first few seasons. They had a really good balance of grounded reality and satirical zaniness.
This along with Steve and Marcy. All perfectly cast, perfect chemistry.
This is my childhood. There will never be another show like this!
I agree with you when life was good.
This was my insomnia go to. They always played it all night.
@@whocares5773 cuz you cowards are letting it happen
@@whocares5773 I blame your grand parents. They were there at the start and did nothing. Freaking tin men..... no heart
Dude. Did you not watch Unhappily Ever After with Nikki Cox? They are both worthy.
Married with children is just a classic period no show no in days can NEVER compare or come close
Too many people would take offense to it. Lol
@@erinchambers9
You are right about that.
@@erinchambers9 How about all in the family or the jeffersons, their freaking head's would explode.
I still say "STEEEERIKE!" when i'm bowling.
Me too!
I swear I do this too 😂😂😂
Class act Christina ! Look and acting. World class
"That's all I ever hear from you" lol
Had a girl in 8th grade that was a carbon copy of Kelly Bundy. I may have had an 0.25 GPA that year, but my attendance was perfect thanks to her.
Lol
Lucky
Peg: “Al! Can we do it again!”
Al: “That’s all I ever hear from you.”
Christina is an absolute fox in this episode
She ALWAYS was 👍
Agree !
She's 16
@@Ayce88 So Applegate is 49 now, what's your point?
@@Ayce88 Correction, I was curious so I looked it up, this episode came out a month before her 16th birthday, she's 15 in this video.
I would say this is the first episode where Kelly truly becomes seen as a sex icon. I have been watching the entire series and I absolutely love the original character of Kelly. She was so much more quick witted and sarcastic in the early seasons, and is smarter than most of the other characters, she is just wrapped up in a superficial personal life. I wish they had kept her like that. Earlier in this episode when Peg asks Kelly to come to the bowling match she replies, "Two guys are supposed to be fighting over me down by the train tracks later, it wouldn't look right if I didn't show"
I feel the same
THATS WELL BELIVABLE !!!ONLY TWO?????????😂g
This is the first show I saw when I first came to Canada and with almost 0 English. I remember pausing it every phrase and try to learn English from the subtitles
Kelly true beauty
Wow, Kelly in this episode, I wouldn’t have faired any better than those dudes, she is a stone cold fox and still is
2:39 hey to be fair he did get two pins in and didn’t come up with a gutter ball. Better than a lot of us red blooded males would fare
I am actually surprised that they used the same colors for the people throwing the ball and for the next cut the ball hitting the pins. Because they had to do quite a lot of tries to get exactly the right shots for each color.
One of the best Episodes.
Al's 'Thumb-warmer'...
And...K e l l y !!
(Grrrrrrrr...)
Man I miss shows like this one back in the day today I find that sitcoms are not once what they used to be. Married with children is one of my all time favorite classic shows I still watch it on tv every now and then.
one of the best moments in married with children
love doing that "al bundy' - strrrike!!!" moves
I love the Bundy Cheer. Can I get a Woo Bundy? WOOOOOOO Bundy!!!" I wish i can be a bundy
Peggy's run up is brilliant
Greatest sitcom ever
The blonde lady in yellow is Anne-Marie Martin. Anne- Marie played Sgt. Dori Doreau in the classic comedy show Sledge Hammer. Well worth a look at if you haven't seen it before.
Oh wow. Bud was such a baby here
Steve had the best line.
Kelly was awesome !!!
I love how CHRISTINA Applegate ❤.was in this episode ❤
I loved this show as a teenage boy!
Love this scene, remember it well!
I can hear some younger ones thinking, "why are they writing down the score? I'd just let machines keep score for us!"
Back in the day, remember those times.
Got me nostalgic for night time bowling. Lights off for a frame, if you get a strike, you get a prize. Many other things during Saturday night bowling. The bowling hall was always booked out at that day and time.
Everytime I try the "steeerike" I only hit one or two :-)
THOSE TWO Lads ARE IN AWE !!!!😂😂😂😂😂😍lol g
I just thought it was funny how kelly was bent over and the guy was checking her out at the same time bowling and messed the pins so funny
One of my favorite episodes.
I was in a work bowling league for many years and used to do his ball rub move everytime before throwing. Alot of times with the 'steeeerike"
Al seemed to use an electronic device that preprogrammed the outcome...
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
A brilliant series!!😂😂😂
So nobody's going to mention that Al Bundy was the best bowler of all time! I mean the ball barely left his hand on the last one and he said strike!
so? he believed in the move and said it out loud, so what? people show off and do the same with basket ball
shouting "swish" or "sauce" before it did anything
This missed the best part. Al throws a second strike. Then when he needs three pins he throws a gutter ball. 😂
This is my favourite episode ever
I wanna see the entire episode now!
"It's all I've ever heard from you"...
I want to go bowling with the Bundys
It is with the greatest shock and dismay that I realized I had a pair of pants just like the one's Al has on. I never was one much for fashion.
Kelly, the .most beautiful girl of her days
Funny that she was Rachels sister in Friends, both of them were among the prettiest girls in the world that time. Then Annalynne McCord came and blew them all away. Now its Korean girls, Jennie Kim is simply amazing looking, beauty doesnt really evolve, it just change faces.
Tiffani Thiessen wasn't bad in her days too. They were all beautiful!
@@deenugent473 definitely
For the blonde's, maybe. But she's got competition in Jennifer Connelly of her day.
For me it was Jennifer Connelly.
Peg: Can you do that again?
Al: That's all I ever hear from you. 💀
I really really agree with that 👍
I hope I run into The Bundy's the next time I go Bowling !!!
I love Kelly 😍
Genius 😄
let's bowl.
Soon,the return of Al Bundy
That needs to happen four reall it really does
Im so high i thought i was watching a full episode 😅
Done that a few times myself
The Bandy's are the real family. That's the hook in this series. The band of losers are the model of family who love each other for bad and good.
Yes the BANDYs are very real
LMAO at 3:06
this might be the most-Bundy-episode ever ... well, apart from "the Ferguson".
I agree with that totely
Damn, I wanted to see if Al can get that 23 pins. 😪
~ He didn't.
@@5jerry1 LOL, Thanks!
@@deenugent473 If I remember right, he hit the first two as strikes but shanked the final ball.
@@michaeljohnson3260 Thanks Michael, too bad I can't find it anywhere 😉.
Let’s bowl hahahahahah
Lol.i knew when kelly came in wearing too many clothes,it was gonna get good.😂yup saw it coming, and what a beautiful sight🤩.
This episode remind me of the movie kingpin with woody harrelson and bill Murray
2:36 EPIC!!!!
At 3:34 when they show the scorecard Bundy doesn't have any points!
"Alley Of The Dolls"--
a classic episode,
guest-starring
Deborah Harmon
as Mimi Stoatz.
Harmon starred
with Bill Kirchenbauer
in the "Growing Pains"
spin-off "Just The Ten Of Us".
She'd also starred with
Kurt Russell & Jack Warden
in the 1980 film "Used Cars".
Harmon would appear on
"Married...With Children"
again years after this
as another of Peggy's rivals,
June Morgan, in the episode
"The Joke's On Al".
This appearance was before Just the Ten of Us.
@@sha11235
Yes, I think you're right.
My mistake.
She got the better of Peggy in this episode, but Peggy got the better of her in the Season 10 episode.
Whoa --Bundy !😂
The Bundys vs the Connors in bowling.
Cut it short. Am I the only one wondering if Al got the 23 pins?🧐
I remember this episode from the DVDs. And as usual, Al always loses at the end. He did not get the win and Peggy had to pay. LOL, it was funny at the end though.
I think his score was disqualified due to his use of the illegal thumb-warmer
Yeah! That business of them cutting it off like that made me madder than a whole NEST of wet HORNETS!!!!!
@@DurianKing70 I think Al threw the game bc Peggy made some kind of embarrassing bet that he wanted to see.
he got a gutter ball and blamed it on the hand warmer lol
Good old school of laugh
They should show it until the end
Let's get this to really happen with both moms so Peggy can really be her rivals pet dogy in that leather dog coller and chain
That lady was the news anchor in BTTF reporting the missing plutonium.
'Steeeeeerike!'
Al,mon idole😎😎😎👍👍👍
2:39 hey to be fair he did get two pins in and didn’t come up with a gutter ball. Better than a lot of us red blooded males would fare
Let’s put it this way Kelly. I have a lifetime subscription to The Pussycat Theater.
Sledgehammer gal is a doll
The counting seems to be off.
Im sure Kelly knocked over millions of pins there.
Нагреватель пальцев Генадия Букина)
Eye really hop Peggy ends up that way to with her daughter hand cuffing Peggy and enjoying it
I don't understand how a woman can be so attractive for so many decades. It's insane!
Makeup my friend.
It's not like she's 80 and wrinkly and missing teeth
proper diet, exercise and not putting on excess body weight. Oh and makeup with a lil plastic surgery never hurts.
Did anyone else notice all the scoring errors when they show the scorecard. Also the Bundy's are bowling on lane 3 and the other team on lane 2. In league play it would be lanes 1 and 2 or lanes 3 and 4 and teams would alternate lanes each frame. Also who throws from a 2 step approach 15 feet behind the foul line.
Cut off the ending 😕
Christina was a beautiful teenager with her bleached blonde hair ❤.
2:02 - The scoring doesn't make sense. How does Steve have 30 in the first frame after 2 strikes and a spare? You need 3 strikes. Bud has 17 in the first frame but 21 after 2? He would need 7 and a miss to have 17 and Al has 50 in the 3rd frame but hasn't bowled in the 4th.
The scoring is totally off, but only a bowler would notice that, like Bud's 2nd frame should be 24 if 1st is 17. The full score card makes less sense, but one of the best episodes next to when Marcy lost her ring down Zorros pants lol
the original, "that's what she said"
That mom in the yellow definitely had a thing for Kelly.
Christina Applegate just might be the perfect woman!!
at least during that time. but its kinda odd since she seems to be just 17/18 or something there.
@@klavicus2276 It was filmed one week before her sixteenth birthday.
she still is dude
It's so sad how her health has turned its back on her. Christina was jaw dropping. It never dawned on me that she was so young at the start of the show, for some reason I always assumed she was 18 by the pilot. Now I'm realizing she was only 15. By the end of the series I honestly thought she was damn near 30. I'm kind of shocked she was only 25 when the show went off the air.
@@klavicus2276 why is it odd when I'm the same age as her?
I always thought Al's thumb warmer was the shell of a car battery terminal wire scrubber.
Can you do it again?.........Thats all I ever hear from u hahahahaha
0:21 the dude in the gold polo looks like he could be Al's younger brother. Same nose, hair line, and height.
Yes she should leather dog coller and chain up Peggy that is asom
How can we get this to happen with both of them
The blonde woman played a man-hating woman in "Bachelor Party" with Tom Hanks.
Well not all men. She seemed to like Japanese guys.
@@rageforthemachine ''Banzai!''
That's where I recognized her from! Thanks for pointing it out! Man, that's a great movie.
Kellyyyyyyyy!
3:05 they cut this part when it is shown on TV now a days. Cant have a 16 year old girl (aired 1 month before she turns 17, nov 25 1971 ) shake like that.... But not on the DVD !
It aired before she turned sixteen, actually. She was fifteen.
Yep turns out this is true, she was 15 years old when this episode was aired (let alone filmed)......she was gorgeous beyond my comprehension in the 80s
@@TRJ2241987 Milla Jovovic was only 13 when she appeared on the show and was a total knockout. Obviously she had reached puberty early.
