Tbh I think one important thing that often is overlooked is the language barrier. Both Benni and van der Gaag are fluent in all languages needed for the squad we got.

Mitchell Van Der Gaag is a Dutch former player who played in different countries, among which is Portugal, so he speaks (at least) Dutch, English, Spanish, Portuguese, that I am aware of. Ten Hag brought him in as an assistent coach at Ajax and then brought him along to Manchester United as assistent coach alongside Steve McLaren.
They both speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Swedish, Dutch and German fluently?
Benny was a legend at Porto. In his last season, after winning the CL, he scored an Hat trick in the last game of the season to become the pichichi -the last goal, a Bicycle Kick ;)

@@limbeboy7 Ajax has a big part in bringing talents to Ajax, train them, make the more successfull and then selling them to topclubs. This is Ajax DNA, that also is invested in Benni. And as supporters we are always proud when players reach that worldclass status as they move on. And the players themselves always credit Ajax. The Ajax term is 'For the future' and many young talents choose to come here instead of going to big clubs already, for their development. You can look up all the players who had their beginnings at Ajax. But I have always followed Benni's carreer and been proud that he has played for our club. What he has done for his country, that's for his countrymen to decide.

As a South African Arsenal fan a vehement disliker of United, I was very worried when I heard United employed him as a scoring coach, cause I had no doubt in my mind that would mean United will become the same old dangerous forces of Alex Ferguson's era, and there it is, the team is on fire once more, kudos to my countrymate and legend... @Sheldon Leahy He is the highest goal scorer for the South African national team. I can't really say that he is the greatest but I can confidently say that he is our best export. I don't know any South African player with a champions league medal.
Big Benni can even teach a goalkeeper to start banging goals into the back of the net, he's one of the few prolific strikers that has actually turned out to be just as good at teaching how to score as he was at doing it

Alot of Rashfords improvement is down to fitness and confidence, but you can see especially with those headed goals that good work is being done in training, long may it continue.

For a natural talented player with courage on any position a dedicated positional coach is probably just minor plus. But a coach who played that postion and knows how to be an effective striker should be really helpful when you want a player from another position swap to that specific role. Also it can be helpful for players who need encouragement and who can still further improve in a role.
Ten Hag and Benni will not have a language issue..
Im from Cape Town ( South Africa) ...not far from where Benni grew up ...One of the languages we speak over here is ' afrikaans ' a derivitive of the Dutch language ..Thus when Ten Hag , or anyone from the Netherlands speaks in their native tongue , the most of us that speaks afrikaans can understand them ..For Benni it would thus be very easy to work with Ten Hag ..
