- Here is my LEGOLAND Castle Hotel Review from our recent stay at the LEGOLAND California Resort in Carlsbad, California.
My family of 5 stayed in a , "Knights & Dragons" Deluxe room for one night while visiting the LEGOLAND California Resort and wanted to share our experience in hopes it will help others in deciding if they'd like to stay at the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel.
I absolutely love that any room you reserve at either the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel or the LEGOLAND California Hotel, each room or suite gets a dedicated bedroom for the kids! Seriously, I wish Disney would catch on that us parents, need a little separation at the end of a very long park day haha! Not only are they given a, per my kids, "very comfy", bunk bed, but there is also a pretty sturdy pull-out trundle bed. They also have their own flat screen TV and one of the coolest functions that I didn't notice until we were leaving the next morning, is a star projector that shoots onto the ceiling when it's dark! So, so fun!

Also, with your stay at the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, you get a free full breakfast buffet at the Dragon's Den Restaurant located on the second floor of the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel. Although, you automatically get the free breakfast with your stay, they do ask that you make reservations for your desired breakfast times by using the OpenTable app on your phone or by going through the LEGOLAND California website. Breakfast is daily from 7am to 10:30am. The breakfast buffet includes fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, casserole-style eggs, juices, coffee, and more!
Another great reason for staying at the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, is the treasure chest hunt! In each room is a treasure chest that can only be unlocked with a special code. To find the correct code, you'll need to venture out of your room and onto the grounds of the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel to get the code (don't worry, this takes maybe 10-15 minutes total!). You fill out the form that is provided to you online (through your check-in text message that they send you) and that form will let you know if the code you put in is correct. If so, the website will tell you, "Great Job!" and you're to use the code to unlock the chest in your room. I won't tell you what you win, but I think you're able to figure that out on your own lol. Such a fun touch to staying here!
The outside courtyard area at the LEGOLAND Castle Hotel, Is absolutely amazing, and now I understand why they LEGOLAND California Park closes so early. The playgrounds, the outdoor movie area and the pool is so fun!
Upon check-in, they will send you a text with the nightly or "Knightly" Entertainment schedule that is going on at your hotel. To see the schedule, go check out my blog post. There are meet and greets, story time, and magic shows!

Which do you prefer between kigndom, Adventure which is in resort hotel or night and dragon in castle one?
Castle one look more recent one and clean though:)
While we've only stayed in the Castle, I made sure to do extensive research of what other folks recommended between the Castle and Legoland Hotel, and Castle came out ahead to be pretty popular! Next time we visit though, we're going to check out the Legoland Hotel, just to see for ourselves what we would recommend between the two đ
