I bought my XR80R 02' and use it for wheelies and a spare bike for other people. Im way to heavy for it but it still goes along and takes a beating. I bought it in 19' for $725 and it was a 1 owner reallg mint. Still have it! And love it! Thanks for the video!

All of the XR series are very strong bikes. I had a 85' XR 80 and it was indestructible.
I did the exact same thing because I had an 1986 Honda xr80 was my first bike and I recently bought the exact same thing..so fun!! It’s a time capsule absolutely love it. Thanks for sharing!

I grew up with a 91 xr80, that bike was such a champion. Put through literal hell and back and never missed a beat!

Great bike man! I have the same exact bike, I learned how to ride on it, now years and years later it’s in the shop right now as we speak getting the carburetor rebuilt and a throttle cable, I can’t wait to ride it again
I got super lucky with mine. I got a 2003 xr80 and a 2002 yz125 2 stroke for $1300 both from a coworker. Him and his dad used to ride them they were the first owners. He outgrew them and sold them to me last year. Cleaned up the tanks and replaced carbs and turn on first kick ever since

Absolutely love smaller dirt bikes. One of my favorites is the XR70. Enjoy and take good care of it man, sure they don't make them like this anymore.
I got the 50 70 80 and 100 all run and all are from 2000-2007
I was 10 or 11 when i learned to ride one of these. Im 20 now and still own one because they are just so much fun, also more comfortable than a 110

Mine was a 01 xr80r mint condition and he gave me al sorts of gear fox and fly helmets pants gloves neck protector knee and shoulder pad I don’t use pads, 800 bucks started first kick that guy was a goat bought it in 2019
My uncle got me this bike today but it’s leaking oil and I’m waiting for it to be repaired either way I’m so excited as this is my first and beginner bike

My uncle also got me a 80 and he has two other bikes in the garage. So he decided to upgrade me to a XR200R 2002 and it’s so sweet

I absolutely love my Honda XR80 but the only problem I’ve had with it is my engine rings have gone out and it won’t make compression now but now I’m going to buy new compression rings for it so I can start riding it again it’s been forever since I’ve rode it. It is a awesome bike though.

I had a 1980 XR 80 loved the hell out of it as a kid and years later after I grew up and the bike bug bit me again I got a XR250l and loved it even more! I would have loved to have had a Xr80 like yours a more modern one with the single shock and all! And I'm considering getting back into bikes but they soooo ridiculous on the prices but the China ones are starting to look good so maybe but nothing beats a Honda XR!
Definitely can't go wrong with a xr. Stay away from the China bikes.

I bought a 2002 Honda xr80 and it broke after 2 days luckily it was just a broken carburetor because the one that was in it was stock so it was 20 years old anyway that’s a cool bike you have I do hope that bike prices go down because I am not paying 1500 for another dirt bike

My dad bought me and my brother both one of these back in the day and i have NO IDEA what i did with mine. I put a 100cc engine on mine when i was 10 yrs old.
OK. I bought a 1986 XR80 for $1,400 and thought I was getting ripped off. But my bike is solid with aftermarket handlebars, carb, and exhaust pipe. I got it a little dirty, so power wash is in order.
Could need rings or valve seals. Probably heap to get parts for. I was looking at getting one of these for my son. I wonder if this is good for an 11 year old. I rode an xr100 back when I was 12.

How could they put the same tire on the rear and front if they are 16" and 14" if I'm not mistaken? Any who, love these old XR's and a bike if you keep fairly clean can pass it to your kids and they can pass it on to their kids. My boys have an XR80 and was their first bike with a clutch, very forgiving and just enough power for them to make it entertaining. They are 8 and 10
8 to 80 years old can have fun on these things.
