2016 BMW S1000RR on Hwy shooting some gaps trying to break into the clear. With all the traffic and big trucks, sometimes feels a bit like a death ride.
You don't like to go above 3rd gear, at 76 mph, there are 6 gears. Hell, I own a 14 S1000RR and commute 148 miles round trip and I cruise at 85+ in 6th gear.
Glenn Privette ha ha, yeah 3rd gear just felt like the sweet spot for what I was doing. The perfect combination of having more immediate power if had to, or wanted to make a sudden acceleration and the correlating engine breaking seemed just about perfect. But you are right,, if did any kind of mileage (depending on traffic) would probably just put it in 6th gear. Btw, that is an amazing commute 😳✊🏼👍🏼.....
Glen, I got 2016 s1000rr.... I ride 120 miles everyday and I usually be on 6th gear after 75mph.... I feel some vibrations and dont get the same smoothness on lower gears as I. Get on 6th gear.... just want to understand is this same for everyone or I need to check on my bike clucth plates?
