Polo 9n3 short shifter install & upgraded shifter bushes

This video is to show the install of the Creations Motorsport short shifter and the BarTek shifter bushes on my polo 9n3 1.4TDI. These upgrades are designed to shorten the throw of the gear shifter as well as reducing slack in the shifting system by replacing the factory rubber mounts with solid aluminium bushes.
This install has some slight differences in comparison to the polo 9n3 1.8 GTI shifter bushes.‪@CarsandEngineering‬ video was a big help in the installation of mine:

2007 Polo GTI both were 10mm and no retaining clip on the top arm. It has a platic fold down tab, no need to shave it down, just apply a bit of force and it clicks into position.

Hey mate, for the upper shifter arm did it never have the metal retaining clip at the end? Just had a look and mine doesn't have one either. Might have to do what you did with the bolt through the plastic...

No mine didn't have the metal retaining clip annoyingly. Not sure the 1.4s have them on the upper one. The 1.8gti's do I think. So yeah this was my best solution to keep it secure.

Yes for the pd100 and pd130s it would. Should be the same as mine. Just need to be aware of the different size holes on the new bushes that may need modification like mine did.
