- At the beginning of April, an exhibition was held at the Kakamigahara City Industry and Culture Centre in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture. On display are plastic models of airplanes. Each one is a masterpiece of ingenuity. Every year, fans from all over Japan come to this exhibition. Everyone is looking at the works intently.
The host is a plastic model club called Gifu Cockpit. They have been active for about 40 years, mainly in Kakamigahara city. There are currently 51 members. The members range in age from 70s to 20s.
Jiro Horikoshi is an aircraft designer who was the model for the movie "The Wind Rises". The Kyu-Shi Experimental Single-seated Fighter is the plane he designed. Test flights were once conducted here in Kakamigahara City.
Some, like him, are fascinated by the beauty of the airplane's form, others by the interesting exterior, and still others by the way it flies. 飛燕コーナーに五式戦闘機が！めっちゃ良い！間違えでは無い。むしろ飛燕コーナーに展示するのが正解。
三好さん作の飛燕の末席に五式が並んでいるのがマニアっぷりが出ててイイ！
鏡を使ったギミックのアイデアもすごいけど、まるでメッキのような輝く機体が素晴らしい。工場から出てきた直後のようです。
やっぱり、趣味は情熱、だったりするんですよね…。私も通った道です。

The 61 ,"88" ( on the gear ) is beautiful ... I have always thought THE " TONY" a fine machine , and were it introduced early in war ,when Japanese fighter pilots were so well trained, we would have had a very tough time ... GOD BLESS YOU SABURO !

I love all things models especially Japanese aircraft ww2
よく展示会で見かける腑分けモデルですね。この腑分けモデルは、一つのジャンルで素晴らしい作り込んだ作品をよく見かけます。でも、３５年間、ヒコーキの傍で勤務した僕の目線では、それって整備格納庫での整備中の機体って感じで萌えないんですね。軍用機って人が乗り込むことによって機械から兵器に変化するんですね。よって、僕はパイロットやクリューが搭乗して配置に就いた模型が好きです。できれば、その状態での空中ジオラマが最高ですね。Make doramaが憧れです。・・・・人夫々、楽しみ方が違いますからこの趣味はおもろいんですね。

子供の頃、演歌ってなくなるのかと思ってたけどなくなってない。はちょっと違うねど。
私も５０年ぐらい昔にウォーターラインの航空戦艦日向と出会って、航空母艦赤城から艦上機に興味を持ち、鍾馗や疾風を知ったら零戦なんてぜんぜん弱いのになぁって。
今後も若い人でも興味を持った引き継いでいってくれると思う。
