I remember when this show first came out back in 2011. I believe that I was around six or seven years old when this first came out. You could say that I was practically raised with this show. Hi Hungry. Here is my theory about Samurai X not being captured. So I'm guess Samurai X had a secret meeting with Pythor at some point before the snake pit fight, and during that secret meeting Pythor would tell Samurai X where Lloyd was held if Samurai X was apart of there main show to destroy the ninja. Samurai X accepts and she put in that cage thing before the ninja get there later in the episode. Pythor thinks Samurai X is going with the plan until Samurai X helps the ninja out and steals back the golden weapons. Samurai X would of save Lloyd too but, you know how the story goes. Anyway the only reason Samurai X accept the deal was to get the location of were Lloyd was held.
