Hey, I really don’t know what to choose. I currently have a Canon 750D, but id like an upgrade. I’m thinking about Sony A7ii, Sony A6400 or the Sony ZV-E10. Could you help me out please?
Hey so a quick thing to think about is what you mostly do and what you WANT to do.
If you are mostly photo and some video then look at the a7ii or a6400.
If you are going mostly video get the zv-e10 and build up from there.
Honestly tho the a7iii is a really all rounder camera and has a lot of improvements over the a7ii so Id even recommend saving up a little longer for a 2nd hand one of those if you are trying to upgrade to a faster system and making a jump to Sony.
I have so many friends who are professional photographers still using the a7iii.
Hope that helps!
@@troykentphotography thanks so much! Helped a lot! 👏
@@troykentphotographyjust subbed 😊
Hey do you think the zve10 is a good upgrade from my old canon 650d?
I think if you are planning to move to the Sony system and want to focus mostly on video with a small for factor and light photo capabilities then the Sony ZV-e10 is a good option but without know much about your work flow Id never flat out say its better for you.
Your current camera can do a lot do just be sure the upgrade is because you find some kind of large lacking feature or features you need and that the move to a new system is important.
Hope that helps!
Hey! What gear you are using to record the entire POV video?
Just the DJI action 2
I want to upgrade to the action 4 tho for better night recording, this one doesnt hold up very well unfortunately
@@troykentphotography alright! thanks alot✨
Sony is still the best camera in the market. I am using a7c which is still great. What lens r u using in this video?
I love the a7c! I also have that as my full frame camera.
In this video I used the Sony 35mm 1.8 (effectively a 52.5mm on the crop sensor)
What setting did you use to photograph?
I shoot manual.
So my settings are always changing, since the ZV doesnt have many dials and switches I set my ISO to 100 when outside and 640 when inside.
Aperture to 2.8
Shutter speed changed when needed
Hi whats ur openion zv e10 😊
If you want to get into video mostly than the zv-e10 is a great start.
If you are more photo focused Id choose something else like the a6400.
Assuming you are looking at a Sony camera that has interchangeable lenses and that you can buy brand new.
(Nothing wrong with getting a first camera second hand and always worth considering)
Waiting for macro POV 😀
I honestly want a macro lens so badly!
I don't know HOW good a POV of macro could look but Im here and willing to give it a go.
Looking at the Sony 90mm Macro or the cheaper... but not as good? 50mm macro (its much cheaper haha)
@@troykentphotography I just adore macro🤩! You can look at Sigma 105mm dg dn macro, its better than Sony's 90mm macro
@@NataliiaBlessingheartthanks! I know nothing about macro lenses right now so any advice is so welcome before I make my purchase... It probably wont be something I get until mid year or even spring time tho
@@troykentphotography For nature macro (insects, flowers, mushrooms, etc, etc) (and the best ones, prettiest flowers grow behind the fences or on the top of the trees, ahaha) longer lenses are better and comfortable to use. For food and product macro - 50-60mm, coz u can stand up close to ur subjects and also they won't fly away from u in fear😄
also u can shoot portraits with a macro lens, so focal of the macro lens in this case depends of lenses u already have and type of shooting u do or wont to try
make the videos on 4K, the image quality it will get better
I have been thinking about trying out recording in 4k on the DJI action 2.
Why's the video so dark?
Im still learning to colour grade my footage so lots to learn! I have a feeling I need to get a better monitor to show proper colours and light in my footage.
