There's no need for the last clip you inserted there. I have never seen The Chosen, I don't have a TV. I never would have thought of Matthew as autistic. That man who created The Chosen clearly does not understand what autism is and neither do you by that mockery at the end. I am autistic, I was non-verbal growing up, it was not through lack of beatings as my mother beat me black and blue. I understand that at the moment a lot of children are being misdiagnosed for autism when they are actually just badly behaved. But please do not think that means autism does not exist. There are many mental disabilities as well as physical disabilities. Jesus would have compassion for them all. Your attitude at the end there was not Christian and completely unnecessary.

He ascribed the cause of the condition to "emotionally withholding parents or, as he called them, 'refrigerator mothers.'" In Scripture we find real and visible diseases such as leprosy and blindness and paralysis. Beyond this if a person is completely out of control and flailing and screaming and tossing themselves around, the sort of people Hans Asperger treated, would be someone who is more than likely possessed by a demon. Modern medicine has done it's best to excuse people who are either possessed by demons or have chosen to do evil with their own free will.

She should have been more considerate for his apparent "learning disability" one might say. They’re crying because it’s what their bodies need to do in that moment..." I've read many articles from parents of children with autism who describe dealing with the screaming and flailing, and have seen it myself very many times.

I agree all followers of Jesus have to follow his commandments and no one gets a special license that allows them to sin. Please don't think I have a problem with you as a person because I don't. A "slow" person is just as capable of following Jesus as a "normal" person. Please remember the Holy Spirit assists in such things. The Holy Spirit is called "the helper" for a reason. I want to explain in the best way I can what autism is. Autism is not sin. It is not bad. Are there bad autistic people? Yes. But are there bad "normal" people? Yes. Autism is a difference in perceiving the world, especially social communication difficulties. In my own experience as a child I felt like an alien that didn't understand the world around me. As I said before I was non-verbal my entire childhood, but my mind was sharp. I could read and learn better than all the children my age. I have a photographic memory. However I couldn't communicate with other people. I had no friends. I would walk around the edge of the playground staring at my shoes. I would experience pain that felt like razor blades in my feet from the seam of my socks rubbing against my feet (sensory processing disorder). If an environment was too loud it felt like everything was caving in on me. If multiple senses were over stimulated at once I would freeze to the stop immobile. I would be experiencing real pain. And it is this pain that makes some autistic children misbehave, and note I say some because not all of them misbehave. But if they do misbehave they are not trying to be bad, they are actually trying to communicate that they are in distress. The same way that a baby cries to communicate to it's parent it is in need of something. Instead of scolding the autistic child for acting up, listen to them. If they can't speak ask them to point to where on their body is the problem. It could be that they have a migraine, or feel sick, or need the bathroom. It just takes patience and understanding. The vast majority of autistic children get better at communicating as they get older and the "misbehaviour" stops because they learn to communicate what the problem is. As adults they can live completely independent lives, yes they face different challenges in life to "normal" people, they never grow out of being autistic, but they learn how to communicate better. They are just as capable of being law abiding adults who are responsible for their actions as anyone else. There is only a very small minority of autistic adults who require care and these adults live in special facilities with 24/7 carers. These people often have a mental age of a small child and do not understand anything going on around them. You could liken their condition to a senior in the advance stages of dementia. These people lack mental capacity. I really hope this helps you in your understanding of autism.
There are a lot of decisions the Chosen makes that I don't agree with. I get they have to fill stuff in, but the modern music, the put on accents, the changing of events, r_t_rded tax collector...
My biggest problem is that they portray Christ as a decent looking guy with a fancy purple robe and turned the sermon on the mount into a rock concert. Everything about the show is obnoxious. But nobody "has" to fill stuff in, for most people it's safer to just stick with what is known.

So in this hypothetical scenario, it would have to be done sensibly. They don't do it sensibly. I just hope it gets more people into the Word.
