As a bus enthusiast myself I’ve always loved these Ford minibuses, I’ve never ridden on a Ford Transit bus before but they’re quite nice looking buses. I would love to have a bus like this of my own one day for me to drive around in.
@@WebbyOnCars Indeed it is, have you seen any minibuses/vans that were on city bus routes before? I have and it was a Stagecoach Mercedes Benz Sprinter van in the new 2020 Stagecoach livery, but it was not in service at the time so it must’ve been heading to the depot or the bus station.
Looks good about time Australia started getting some thing different in the vans and dare I say mini bus type thingies. Thingies is a technical term only used by insiders, see what a rev head I am................. Now for a van or minibus for all those soccer mums out there. Car sales has just tipped me off about the new 2020 transit 12 seater 'bus' do you have any of those in yet? If so would love a sneak peak through one of those. You never know we might see Vic out of the Covid blues yet. What do you think are you going to be open before christmas?
We don’t keep the 12 seater van in stock due to low demand, but it sounds like a good idea. The current Transit Custom is a really good van and very popular with our customers too. At this stage I believe we will be reopening on 19th October
When can we expect so see a van with AWD here? I really like Tansit custom. I want to use it for travelling, I would prefer an AWD model so it could handle some gravel easily.
Vineet Joshi Specifications are normally different in each country. We only get a Diesel engine here in Australia, where America gets a petrol engine as an option. I can’t imagine we will see it with AWD.
The quick response is we don't have the population base to make the the sales viable that's Australia's biggest problem with a lot of commodities that can be bought overseas. That's the price we pay for a great lifestyle.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I guess it depends what type of access you need to the cargo area. I can’t find any exact measurements as to how high the tailgate opens, however from images I’ve seen it appears to open about 4 inches higher than the roof of the van. Sorry for being a bit vague but I hope that helps
@@reinoutbaele5875 I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with these options. we have different models here in Australia. Do you mean the length of the van on the outside or the cargo area inside?
Webby On Cars Thank you for your reply. When you configure a new van like the one in the video you get the option to choose the basic dimensions (L1/H1- Length 1/Height 1) or choose for a longer or higher version L2/L3/H2. This makes the whole van longer and higher and hereby also the loading capacity. This is why vans like these are often advertised as “Ford Transit Custom 2020 L2H1 170HP”.
Join me as I take a first look at the brand new 2020 Ford Transit Custom Sport Dual Cab

@FiremanSamBoy2008 The Transit Custom is a very impressive van!

would love to see a long wheel base version of this with rom to load a full size motorbike.
lenny is a cool dude, i like his van ideas
That would be great! More room is always handy!
Yes, Lenny is making vans cool again!
Thanks - much more helpful than the Ford website!
@Sina Walker Thank you, I’m glad you found it helpful.
New ultimate fishing van for long distance sessions with the boys or the family!
Sounds like it would be perfect for you!
Excited over a van..!!!
Hahah, it’s no ordinary van though!

That looks 👌
@Marcus Barnes I agree!
Best looking can on mkt now. Better than the looks of the multivan imho.
@u3962521 I agree, the Transit is a good looking van

I don’t think Ford has any plans to bring this van out with AWD from what I know
@@WebbyOnCars but they have launched it in US. 2020 Ford Transit XLT. Please check.

I’d love to have a 4wd or Awd. Transit custom. That means I wouldn’t have to buy a VW 4 motion!

I pick up mine in Jan 2020 due to a totally custom spec. I am told the locks on these vans are terrible so another $600 after it arrives.
It’ll be worth the wait, they’re very impressive to drive! What’s the problem with the locks, I’ve not heard of anything?
@@WebbyOnCars Watch this, frighteningly easy to beat. czcams.com/video/u0lzdX6b6Hw/video.html
Mines on order, it’s a lovely bit of kit, shame about the locks. Nothing a rigged up over and under in the back won’t sort out tho 🤣🙈
Neil Aspinall wow! Deadlocks are a good idea then!👍
Ben Tyrrell you won’t be disappointed!👊
Great vid. How are they for towing?
Thank you, I appreciate your feedback. This version of the Transit Custom can tow up to 1800kg, but other versions can tow up to 2800kg.
Great review, how much space do you need to open the tailgate as can’t decide to have barn doors or tailgate? Thanks

@@WebbyOnCars I think Steve means extra length (i.e. how far before it bangs on a wall behind)
can the rear seats be removed and the bulkhead put in the standard position? Therefore making a lwb sport version?
I imagine they could but you might have to be careful with things like airbags though!
Webby On Cars if you get the SWB version can you fit a baby seat in the front? Ie airbags again..
super transit...
It’s very cool, doesn’t feel like a van at all!!
Hi Webby can we get these as a 7 or 8 seater people mover
Unfortunately not. You can get 6 seats if you get the non sport version of the van though
Is this short or long wheelbase
It’s long wheelbase
@@WebbyOnCars thank you
Is this the L2 or L3? By the way. That‘s one of the best reviews...
Thank you, I appreciate your support!🙏 I’m not sure what you mean by L2 or L3 though?
He is asking or the van in the video has Length 2 or Length 3 as option. I’m curious myself about this because the loading bay seems very spacious.

Hi do you have an all seated passengers custom and in manual and in three litre engine
Unfortunately not. This model is only available with 5 seats , and has a 2.0 turbo Diesel engine with an automatic gearbox
When will these show in US soil?? Transit connect is ok but no.
I’m not sure if they’re available in the US. We don’t get the Transit Connect here in Australia though just the Custom.
The MSRT version
We don’t get MSRT here in Australia that I’m aware of, but this is very close!
Remove the bulk head turn into camper
@u3962521 as long as you get it done professionally
terrible rear seating ,90deg ,wouldnt want to go long distance in the rear
It would be good if the 2nd row seats could slide backwards and forwards as this would enable the seats to adjust
? O combustível e diesel .
Yes, it’s a diesel
