Fautanu a huge steal for the Steelers at 20
Steve, Sam, Cris and Trevor. Thanks for your excellent coverage of draft night one.
1:18:36 for what you probably came for
1:18:35 love the simultaneous reaction to Penix Jr.
Vikings will get one or two 3rd round comp picks in 2025... plus will be big free agent players in 2025. And have that first round 2025 pick, in a draft class that is not expected to be very deep.
I came to hear cris wish he had time to do more shows
Take Cooper Dejean off this graphic 😂
THE BOYS SUITED UP! Looking good grouchy, goofy, and T-Rev
Love that the Lions got Arnold. The defensive backfield needed to be fixed more than any group. Mission accomplished. Now can they re-sign Goff after signing St. Brown and Sewell? I'm thinking they can but ya never know. If he walks, I'm okay turning the team over to Hooker with another year under his belt. They're gonna win that damn Lombardi if it hair-lips every defensive coordinator in the league. I've waited too many years for it and I have it on good authority God won't let me come home until I see that "gleam" with my own tired old eyes.
Well, okay, that's a stretch. But 50-plus years of cheering these guys on has to pay off at some point, like a slot machine you pump thousands of dollars into, it's not a matter of if, just a matter of when and who has more patience, you or that cosmic one-armed bandit. Anyway, love the pick. Now go get er done guys and let's put the bow on this. In Homes we trust and the Dude abides. It's our turn, deal with it you angry vengeful football gods of old. As Hank put it, move it on over, the mean dog's movin in.
So great when they got Farr and Barney in the same draft!!!

Rome Odunze was right there 😖
They made a smart pick assuming the evaluation stands up. You can’t be without a QB and you need to be in a position to flex in that new guy when it’s time. Always smart to be thinking of the future instead of the now. Eventually, those decisions add up.
@@Cujobobyou think Penix Jr at 8 is smart? You might be right. As of now, it doesn’t look smart to me. Atlanta has struggled to pressure QB’s for years now. Can’t win many games if you can’t get to the QB.
Cousins is the Falcons QB for at least the next 2 seasons. He is a $90m dead cap hit in ‘24, $65m dead cap hit in ‘25, $25m dead cap hit in ‘26 and a $12.5m dead cap hit in ‘27. The contract also negates the value of having a QB on a rookie deal. They not only passed on the best player available, Odunze but they also passed on the top defensive player in the draft. We are not done yet. It was also reported that the Falcons turned down multiple trade down requests passing on additional draft capital.
Penix Jr is also old with a bad injury history. He might be 26 or 27 by the time he gets to be a full time starter. JJ McCarthy is not only much younger but he is better than Penix Jr was at the same age.
Clearly the Falcons valued Penix Jr much higher than most others and this might work out. Only time will tell. However there is a lot working against it, the opportunity costs are massive. Falcons we’re making win now moves and this is certainly an abrupt change in direction. It’s fascinating.
@@paulieprinceton4550 it’s smart if they get the scouting report right. The concept can be a good one. They’re not in a position to go all in right now. Kirk Cousins is good enough to be competitive, but the focus has to be on building up a core to remain competitive.
With that said, I didn’t scout QBs this year as my team has zero need. I would prefer teams acquire guys like Hendon Hooker who the Lions took last year with a third. Much better value, but all that matters is whether the player develops. Forcing him to start right away nearly ensures he won’t with where he’s at (from what I’ve read in the last 24 hours).

Man Justin Jefferson probably sick right now. Going to either have Sam Darnold or JJ McCarthy throwing to him.

So Chris thinks that Daniels is the best QB of the three, when in fact, he's the most likely to be a bust of the three due to his inability to read defenses and his being into his "greatness" attitude. It's ironic, though, that he compares him to Lamar, when indeed there IS a comparable QB to Lamar in this draft. It's just not Daniels.
Every damn team KC has been with has butt hole coaches playing games(except for KOC), NO one gives the man any respect for how hard he works, i know he gets $$$ but at thos point i think he wanted a bit of recognition
Not a single word about the Seahawks draft needs until the pick is already in? Your focus sucks.
Collinsworth is so fucking out of touch with reality.
trevor talks too much. even on his own show
Drank too much coffee.
I don't understand all the Chris Collinsworth love...my Dad and I didn't care for him when he played for Cin, and we couldn't BELIEVE they gave him a color commentator gig! I keep waiting to find out what dirt he has on someone that has kept him in the spotlight. I refuse to watch this episode cuz he's on it lol
So because you & your dad didn't like him that means he shouldn't have a broadcasting career? lol
