To be fair, China always claims to have the best and the most advanced everything.
Claims are just words not action.
It's funny. I knew North Korea was infamous for putting on such bravado with no substance.
It took me several more years to realize China is the same, but with the budget to make the lie more convincing.

but mostly filled with propaganda :DD
My favorite was when they released a propaganda vid of their "high-tech combat rifle" where they showed that the rounds they were firing were "keyholing" targets from five meters away. "Keyholing" means that the bullets are tumbling through the air because the barrel's rifling is either horrible or non-existent.
they are very well trained. you'll see it in 2027 when they take over Taiwan
@@Dave_of_MordorNot sure about that, the US will back them up, and I am joining the Air Force in 2030. Thus Taiwan will be defended with all the US’s strength. And the US has hundreds of divisions that it can choose to deploy, they have 11 carrier strike groups which can respond to any naval threat and send out fighter planes with a seconds notice.
Chinese military is very well trained in marching, their parades look amazing, as for combat probably not so much.

I think this is one of the reasons they are concentrating on technology with long range capabilities. But then again, we all know what happened in their rocket forces.
The CCP's military police have repeatedly been defeated by the rural Chinese citizens they were sent to evict. Not individual police either. We're talking entire swat teams sent running by a few farmers with homemade weapons.

I am a volunteer fire fighter in the US, hoses aren't hard to connect and typically are already connected. Hose lines are easy to work with fire fighters are trained on how to properly care pack and use the hoses. While I have witness and heard of incompetence fire fighter or errors typically it was corrected immediately and had little effect on response. One example was a multiple alarm fire where we had multiple departments responding. One such department chauffer had forgotten how to use the pump panel on the engine luckily my department jumped in and was able to charge the hose line and operate the panel, that chauffer was suspended and required to retake the pump class in order to be allowed to drive again not sure what happened after that.
Even though we are volunteers we go through training academy tested and practice our skills every Monday night, however sometimes we do it a few times a week. We are always learning something new. A lot of us also come form long lines of family linage of fire fighters which form a young age many of us are highly motivated.
From what I saw about the hoses in China from this video, Chinese fire departments use a variety of different hoses.
In this one apartment fire, where the hoses couldn't be connected to the apartment build in water tube, it looked like the hoses from the fire department had DIN (German industrial norm) clutches/connectors while the build in tube had something why different.
In other videos the hoses looked like US hoses with US standard clutches/connectors.
PS:
I'm also a voluntary fire fighter, but in Germany.
I thank you for your service and keep up the great work for your community! :)
that's because of trucks are larger and generally all have preconnected 1.5-1.75 inch sidelays. Smaller trucks from europe and asia don't have them preconnected. You might have 150-250 feet already connected but a firefighter from somewhere else may need to connect how many hose segments? That is inherently less reliable and leads to clips as we saw, however, how many other incidents have occurred when they operated smoothly? Being shown a bad clip of a crew shouldn't correlate into all of china's firefighters are bad.
It's rather easy to see how there's bad firefighters here. People that are way to old and overweight. The fire chiefs and battalion chiefs not liking each other. Old guys who don't care to really train and thus make it hard for the newer guys to hone their skills. The lack of fires volunteers get doesn't help them get real world experience and most calls are automated alarms anyways. Let's not act as though we're radically different

@@majesticface3631 no not really the hose conection system doesnt cause errors at all. I am in a youth firedepartment and even beginners are able to connect them. Firing rockets at high rise fires? What happens to the unburned rocket fuel? Someone didn't think this through
Pressurized probably?
The concept is that the launcher has to be aimed properly, but also the suppressant has to be placed in a crumple type cannister or glass bottle that will shatter and release on impact. It's unlikely to reach 200m height without aid as the rockets have to be cheaply made (sic). If they had rocket/fuel cannisters, they would be stripped for parts or sold off, or the fuel would be missing on arrival at a fire site. Which would be 'embarassing' when the missile basically launches and hits the carpark or another fuel truck nearby.
The more likely use, is in a forest fire or wildfire where accuracy isn't so important, what's needed is a fire-break or hazard/fuel reduction i.e. setting a secondary fire and clearing out a trail / air-gap so that the fire can't spread as quickly. Especially around valleys and areas where leaves and trees accumulate for decades, leading to large areas that can combust or accelerate a wildfire.
I don't imagine China has the concept of Fire-breaks or hazard reduction, i.e. setting small fires to reduce leaves/branches because their rural areas are mostly farmland and mountains.
I think they did so that’s why they don’t use them lol
I don't even know how that works as to extinguishing fires. It's laughable and cartoonish. Cause breaking a window adds O2 to the fire and granted your extinguishing agent is being released around the same time it likely not enough
🤔Hm, firing a rocket at a person waving frantically for help on the 65th floor … what could go wrong?

This is not a fireman problem, this is a building standards issue,
Can you say both have issues
@@watchdogs4597 yes, I think it is a system problem, and accountability, here in Hong Kong a building must get approval from Lands department & Environment health department, Part of those approvals require Police, Fire and other departments to visit and sign off before a building is allowed to have residents, even the management company of a building needs to see these. I think the CCP is probably working on fixing these issues and needs input from people pushed into the write channels, obviously some corruption issues there if they have this procedure, then it must be traceable, its probably happened and the person prosecuted, but no one went back to fix it. Its a big country.
Just a comment on the fire hydrant at the 5:37 mark. The lack of water is functionally correct.
Hydrants are a tall pipe with sealed openings at the top and a valve at the bottom. The nut on top is used to open the bottom valve and let the water flow up the pipe. The usual process to use a hydrant is to remove one of the seals, attach a water hose to the uncovered opening and then open the valve to let the water flow up the pipe and into your hose.
Some areas leave the valve open at all times so that the hydrant is always full of water and under pressure. If your car hits one of these, you'll see a lovely fountain.
In areas where the temperature goes sub zero (many regions in China) it makes sense to leave the hydrant empty to prevent ice forming. Water expands when turning from liquid to solid, so a closed, water filled hydrant would burst during Winter, and create a massive leak during the Spring thaw. If the hydrant has been left with a closed valve, then hitting with your car should see no loss of water - just like the scene in your video.

3:47 Filling a fire extinguisher with floor? You may as well just dump gasoline on it.
Firefighter and Paramedic from Germany here:
The infrastructural deficiencies identified in this video are due to controllers and people who are unaware of the danger or do not care.
As far as the fire service's firefighting work and tactical operational management are concerned, I can only say that many of the things the fire service does do not always immediately make sense to the population or look good. For example, if a person is trapped in a room or on a roof that is already ablaze with flames, the fire service must carefully weigh up the risks of this rescue operation. Firefighters never enter a fire alone and if in doubt, both firefighters die in the fire trying to get someone out of the fire who is already dead anyway.
To the population it sometimes looks slow, but we as emergency services have to first get a thorough picture of the situation on site, we have to discuss our tactics and then proceed, constantly considering our own safety, these are things that take time on site and videos like these on social media in which firefighters take part in competitions fuel a very unrealistic image in society.
In fairness I believe most water hoses in high rises are not hooked to the municipal water, but are intended to be fed by a connection from a fire truck outside via a stand pipe, and so there will be no water if the fire department isn’t there. That said, I don’t doubt they’re probably still not set up right.
No. That's wrong. Fire trucks don't have enough water or power to do that. The RED fire extinguisher pipes in buildings ARE connected and to mains water but at a higher flow rate, in the basement or just outside of all buildings you will see a giant box with words like "fire pump" written on them. Those are massive water pumps that beef up the water pressure to those pipes that go all the way up so there is enough pressure to make them work correctly.
Fire trucks don't pump water into buildings pipes, they use water from existing pumps, connections or hydrants to get water.
In some crappy 3rd world countries I believe the fire truck can indeed be used as a water pump in some scenarios, not normal for cities though.
we also have a huge problem with those ccp of which they are currently infiltrating our judicial system here in the philippines.
Not just the products of china that is bad. The service too, fire fighters need more real training not just acting
Most of the problems are not about the fire department but housing developers and equipment suppliers.
to be fair this is the same country who proudly claimed to have built a nimitiz knockoff and ended up with it sitting in a dock as the entire stern is slowly breaking away and their sailors wont willing sail on it. Their entire plan seems to be throw enough men at the problem and it might solve it. Kinda like soviet russia.
But, and correct me if i'm wrong, atleast Soviet fire fighters had better equipment and training than those in China.
@@rastewart100 yes they did. for all the soviets were crap at actually keeping a country running, they were very good at engineering and for awhile keeping pace with the west, they also didnt really steal alot of the tech they used, they usually bought or invented it, it was only in their later period everything fell apart and the west basically threw money at problems to finally beat them. Also when the soviets showed off they usually could back it up unlike china.
The hilarious thing about it all is everyone thinks china is going to pick a fight with the west when in reality it would be like Tescos or Costco declaring war on their customers, once the trade stops they are screwed. Add in the fact they have upset nearly all the other asian nations in recent times it would be like picking a fight with your neighbour two counties over and ignoring the rottweilers sitting next door. This is what we experience buying Chinese products 😂. China knows how we feel about selling fakes to us
6:06, In the USA we have what are called "dry standpipes", these are built into buildings but will only work properly when a fire engine/pumper has a hose connected to it outside while pulling water out of a hydrant on the street. There are also wet standpipes where water is ready to be used. after 6:06 where the guy is saying something about a passed inspection, it could be possible that the building could have properly and legally passed its inspection but there may not be any education on what dry vs wet standpipes are provided by building management to tenants.
Inspections here are often not followed. Common corruption in the Middle Kingdom.

During the summer my country suffers from terrible fires and unfortunately our Firefighters are not only few, some are voluntary workers, those who make a career out of it are underpaid despite the great service they offer. Local governments are severally underfunded so this means the firefighters don't have access to great equipment either but they are heavily regulated so everything somewhat works. Great video Ally.
So one thing I’d like to point out is the standpipes
Here in the states they are usually dry, an engine will pump those with water from the street to the FDC and then can charge the standpipe.
The extinguishers and fake hydrants are crazy. No hydranted areas are fine and normal, it’s why we have tankers/tenders to supply water.
Their drones and stuff FDNY and LAFD also uses to great effect for large fires, the missiles are stupid. Get up there and put the fire out with a high rise pack

at he Turkey earthquake, the Chinese rescue workers came only for photo sessions!
To show their fake Chinese products......never trust CCP.....
Like your video 😂
Chinas firemen look more like military show boaters, then most countries actual armies
"Helicopters with buckets is all we got" XD
Anti-CCP, SUBSCRIBED!
Water canons and water missiles...China is so advanced, while the west is using regular canons and missiles. Someone in the war department in China realized Taiwan is surrounded by water, therefore, an unlimitided supply of ammunition!
To be a little more fair to those firemen, here in Germany firemen also don't run or act in some kind of superspeed (since it can create errors easily) and the lack of (functioning) water hydrants is also a common problem here (it often takes long time to ensure a stable water connection). But yeah, the faulty extinquishers or hoses in buildings are definitely a big problem in China…
This chick hates herself
You luv Winnie the pOOh
@@vietcongbuondanbannuocphan1791 as does Vietnam
Hate is an understatement😢
RIGHT!!! Any opinions on the fake fire protection equipment or the corruption related to it? Or you are free to comment on that? Right?
She thinks she is W*te!
I am not even sure everything about China anymore. From robot doctors to whatever I read online. Must probably a lie to gain investors
Missile launched extinguishing powder. That's certainly an idea.
"All for show." So appropriate.
I worked on a water-related project with a Chinese company as a translator and the water hose leading to nowhere was and is a thing. That water treatment plant was a nightmare in the making and that was before it went operational. And this year, shit went south and now it's my colleague who took over from me who had sleepless nights for weeks handling this. Felt sorry for the guy.
Not being hooked up to anything at all is not good of course, but fire hydrants in buildings often dont work on their own by design. They are just connected to pipework from the ground floor up, but not connected to the water mains. They have a connector on the outside on ground level to be hooked up to a fire truck which provides the necessary pressure which is significantly higher than the one coming from the water mains.
Why would you want to go to China, why risk it.
this channel is so underrated. wishing you much more success with youtube for years to come!
I can't believe china has a Hollywood level fire department
