Hmm...I've never heard that saying before, but I'm surely inclined to believe it. My dad was a very chill, easy-going, low-key type of guy - which totally explains my mild-mannered nature. Je'Niece (Bernie's daughter) has probably always been a sweetheart too. We attended the same high school, and she was definitely a class-act back then. I didn't know her personally, but I remember her being popular and seemingly ALWAYS smiling. She was also very pretty. She was quite tall (taller than me, and I'm 5'9"), and slim, with flawless dark-brown skin, and cheeks that dimpled when she smiled. As I've mentioned, we'd never met (still haven't), but I remember her very well...clearly 🙂. And believe it or not, I'm nearly certain that I wasn't aware of her father's celebrity status back then. However, I remember her so well because of her (what I would deem as) "high school sweetheart", Deon. Boy, was he fine! And, I had a "bit" of a crush on him 🤥...okay, a great big crush. But if I remember correctly, they were together from (at least) sophomore year throughout the entirety of their high school days. And though I had a thing for him, I wish they would've married 😁 - which is kinda ridiculous, actually 😆. Reason being...I know absolutely nothing about their relationship aside from the fact that it was so, for at least three years. But they looked really good, and happy together. Anyway, it's nice to see her, both looking and sounding great. Good for her! I'm sure her dad's smiling down from heaven with pride.
When she said it makes her feel proud to know the person she knew her dad to be is really who the world knew as well. That says a lot about a person. A decent human being not just in public but behind closed doors ❤❤
