What I find amazing is that there are enough people building cars every year to keep such a business alive for all these years and that they manage to do all this RnD and investments and still manage to make a living for themselves and employees.

I knew Art back in the early 80's when he had a small shop near mine on 54th near the Poodle Dog Restaurant. I remember going in one day to have him make something for me and he was all excited because he had just gotten an air nibbler for cutting sheet metal- he's come a long way since those days.

My 1st interaction with the Art Morrison company began way back in the 1970s. Art was instrumental in making my 1953 2 door Belair what it became. The NHRA devision 6 winner back in 1978! All thank to his (Art Morrison himself) made that happen! The L-88 motor out of a wrecked Vette also helps. My old B/altered car will/has been missed! But now? Now I'm very interested in building a 1969 El Camino with all wheel drive! Yep...I'm just that messed up!

its kinda crazy how big this industry is, 2 or 3 a days is around 600 $10/20k chassis's going out to custom projects a year. Any they arnt to only company doing this. Thats a lot of people dropping $50k in an old truck.

putting a holes in frame for the pipes is not a good idea it causes a weak point on the frame I think you need to crash test your frame

I envy American custom culture and
cool customs!! There are many car
    models that deserve custom, and
There are many original custom cars
such as street rods. Japan is full of
    childish cars and customs.
