The pen trick is obvious.. If you put it in slow motion you can clearly see he whispers "Wingardium Leviosa"

I actually have an idea on how the pen trick is done. One of the old methods of levitating a person is to have a mechanism set lengthwise. If you watch when they move a ring around the person, they never have it rotate around them completely. There is always a spot that the ring will never cross through.
Looking at the Pen, notice when he maneuvers the ring to go over the pen, he doesn't actually have it cross over it. My guess is that he has some spider thread that he stuck on the end's of the pen, with part of it where the ring is laying, so when he moves the ring it always follows that one path and never crosses a certain axis.
Maeve Griffin the pen isn’t being supported by any type of thread.

I just wanted to thank you for featuring my video and I’m glad you enjoyed the Floating Pen, your reaction to it made me smile. I love all the incorrect Wild guesses and people who think it’s video trickery. I’m not really a CZcamsr per say, Patrick Snowden is a close friend of mine, he released this effect 20 years ago and I realized there was no video of anyone performing his Incredible Floating Pen anywhere and thought I would post a quick video for fun. For those people guessing Magnets, I assure you magnets alone couldn’t accomplish true levitation like displayed here, at least not to this scale. There’s more going on and in my option it is the closest thing to what true close Leviton/suspension would look like . Once again Chris, thanks for the plug and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Pedro Mariz your welcome to believe what you wish or you can google Patrick Snowden’s Incredible Floating Pen sold by Hocus Pocus and see it’s a actual magic effect not camera trickery. I shot this in one take on my IPhone X on the spur of the moment.

@@UngovernableUits like wearing normal sunglasses, once you wear them your eyes adjust, thats why light seems weird when you take off shades, these glasses have the same adaptation period but is a little more intense due to the nature of the filters

This is such a unique CZcams channel. I've never seen anything like it before because CZcams is big on only promoting the vloggers and beauty gurus but I'm glad one of his videos popped up in my recommended. I actually just did it! Look at the shape of the card at 12:40 then look at your card while holding it exactly like in the video. Look at the shape of the card in the video again.
I did it 5 times in a row and it came back each time. Freaked my dog out!

Regarding the pen, I'd bet there is magnetic levitation involved (at least that's how I'd do it). Regarding the returning card, it's bent as to form a tiny cardboard boomerang :)

I feel like the floating pen trick may have to do with the book, because it serves no purpose, maybe magnets ??

The book has to be involved. No reason for it to be there. Everything is a prop. The only thing that bothers me is he never crossed the cap side of the pen with the ring or the card. Magnets were my first thought. But idk now.

When you say "never crossed the cap side" you mean vertically? Because the ring passes right over it, @@mikecruse255. And no, Caode, the cap doesn't pass behind the ring. That's the shadow that you're seeing the ring cast on the pen, and mistaking it for the body of the ring. You can see the offset from the ring of the shadow if you pause and examine the frames. Try around 7:38-7:41 and you'll see it. You can also see that the ring continues behind the cap, as well.

Not saying that Chris should take on the job himself but maybe if an inspired fan could submit captions that passes CZcams's rigorous algorithms, then it's fair play to be entertaining, while still imparting what's actually said.

Secondly, I’m seriously anticipating you doing a video on that boomerang card trick. Man, I can see some serious potential for some mind-blowing color changes there. Not to mention, I can see you incorporating this into that move you do where you slightly lift the top card and flip the other card beneath it without the spectator seeing it. Sick stuff.

Nice of you to give a shout out to these up and coming magicians. It takes a lot of guts to perform some of these routines, especially when thousands of folks will see it and likely criticize it.
