It was a pleasure to grow up with George W. Bush as president. I was about 7 years old when this was filmed. As a kid you could sense the president's warmth and concern for his nation and I loved watching his Christmas specials with Barnie (RIP). I can't believe they can function that early! But if they love what they do, then it's probably no problem. And just think, Trump gets up that early but spends half the time watching the news and rolls out of bed to tweet!
This brings back memories. A friend of mine worked at the White House and invited me to tour the West Wing a couple times. First Dog Barney was in the Rose Garden during one of them and I got to give him a belly rub. My kids think it’s the coolest thing I ever got to do in DC. They’re probably right.
I just can't believe these high level white house staffs don't actually have there own drivers? I mean here in Indonesia, most mid levels and all high level presidential officials have drivers of there own.
Staffers and interns of any kind get treated like shit in DC. I was an intern and you don't get paid. You pay to work there, essentially. You have to go above and beyond for nothing. There's no place for this in a country like the US. Even the president hardly makes any salary.
Yes Ma'am, As I understand it: 3 years of vocational study plus 2 years working experience. That's why I am enrolled at Nursing School (Laurea-Ammattikorkeakouly) in Hyvinkää. We'll see, how that goes?
I also registered for something called United State Diversity Green Card Lottery. That cost me about a thousand bucks. No big deal. Did the same for Canada and Australia. Residency Card. I encourage anyone to do that.
We have these Easter Eggs (wooden) signed by President Bush and Laura Bush. Part of a long tradition. She was qualified to assert, that George and Laura would carry the Presidency with dignity and competence, AND That the response would be active and measured.
