I honestly didn't realize this until I heard the song "Slide Away." I went back and watched all her music videos from when she parted ways with her father and Disney and began to realize all of this. I've come to respect and appreciate her as more of a true artist now because of this.

I have watched this video about 25 times since yesterday, it hits home for me because I know it's a video but I can almost see the desperation in Miley's eyes about wanting to get back to normal (whatever that is) I'm trying to be a recovering alcoholic which is so difficult right now but the lyrics have said the right things and I'm going to seek treatment when I get back home today.
