Get a plastic rubbish bin and put it inside your pack. It will provide rigidity and improve how it sits on your back. Added benefit is you can use the bin to collect a lot of water.

I got mine in today. Took it for a test walk in the woods. Not terribly comfortable but it looks so good and its huge

The comfort aspect can be improved to some degree by rolling up a foam pad inside the bag. It also gives body to the bag when empty. It is a beautiful pack for sure.

Just get yourself a Swiss army “Salt and Pepper” pack. Made from nettle fibre and cotton (I think it’s cotton), with beautiful leather straps, each pack has the name of the maker and the year of manufacturer, it’s very, very comfortable and just as iconic and stylish as the Frost River, in fact more so in my opinion.😁 Plus, if you hide your time, you can find a superb example for about £150.

Hello mate. One of the benefits of getting old and senile is you can watch things for a second time and not remember what happened the first time you watched it. Be safe and be lucky man.

Great video. I invested in a frost river padded belt...well worth the extra 30 Quid. I love the pack and its had loads of use in The Lakes and Shetland this year. The padded belt made a huge difference when loaded up.

Totally agree the additional padded belt is well worth investing in! Adds a lot more comfort and carrying practically to an already awesome pack. Take care.

I do get what you mean. Lucky for me it doesn't cause that much discomfort in that area. I keep the sternum strap quite loose now to elive the strain. Take it easy.

If Frost River would add a tumpline like their canoe packs have, many problem would be solved on this pack. I have and carry a lot of weight on rugged terrain with the Woodsman, the Grand Portage and the Kitchen bag and always use the tumpline (which I also do on portaging my canoe and wannigan).

😂 I totally get where you are coming from, but if I walked about with my rucksack strapped to my head in my parts people would think I'm bangers 😂 I already get strange looks when I walk about in my gear as is 😆 But I agree with the style and size of it you would associate it with canoeing.

I like that shirt. Whats the make/model? Is that pocket up on the sleeve useable?

New sub here. If you are looking for a great traditional style pack you should give the hidden woodsmen deep woods ruck paired with the tactical tailor malice frame. It’s adjustability is awesome and comfortable

@@dalejayne2461 Welcome to the world of bushcraft buddy. I'll be honest for serious hiking and lengthy walks this is not the pack. It's beautiful alright and very Instagrammy 😆 I'm not saying this won't do the job as it will with aplomb, but this is best left in the boot of your car and just listen to the sounds of awwww every time you life the boot lid 😆 the adjustment for the pack isn't finite it adjusts to about an inch at a time on the straps and sternum and same on the belt.
