Synopsis:
Kabir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) knows what it's like to come back from the dead. The ex Indian Captain has now come back in the avatar of the Coach of the Indian Women's National Hockey team. A team that exists more on paper and less in reality.
The team is a rag-tag bunch of girls with their own agenda. A bunch of girls who have forgotten what it is like to play for the love of the game. Of playing because you want glory for your country. Not because you want a pensioned job or a government flat. They have all forgotten the sharp thrill of just holding the hockey stick, keeping their eyes on the ball and playing for all they are worth. They have played every game but hockey to make sure they get selected every year in the Indian National team. But what does it really mean to play for the Indian National team? To play for India?
The girls have never known the thrilling energy of being Team India. Of giving their all to see their country's name on a trophy. But Kabir Khan, once a captain, now forgotten, does. He knows what it takes to get there. And what it means to return empty handed. This time, he wants to make sure that it's different. He knows there are no second chances. Despite his past, he believes that if only the girls played as one, anything would be possible.
Because Kabir Khan believes that it is not that we can't win. It's just that we have never believed we can.
CHAK DE INDIA is the story of a coach's fight of making his team, Team India by overcoming their diverse backgrounds, by learning to use everything that life hurls on them as a secret weapon. It's a story about honesty, sincerity and integrity. The Film became a cult classic and won its leading man the National Award and put the Indian National Sport "Hockey", back on the map.

The movie is based on the real life story of Negi, a former Indian goalkeeper who fell from grace after conceding seven goals against Pakistan in the 1982 Asian Games final, after which he was dropped from the side.....

Please read Negi's autobiography in which the foreword is written by SRK, he has never mentioned anything about Chak De's story being inspired by Negi's life... The director (Shimit Amin) is a Hindu, the scriptwriter (Sahni) is a Hindu, the producers (Chopras) are Hindu... Still you think that there is some Islamic conspiracy involved in this movie... I know why you are bringing all this up because the BJP is unfortunately turning our nation into a radical Majoritarian state... When the movie released in 2007, nobody spoke about all this Muslim conspiracy but suddenly in the past few years people have been able to point out all these things... I can't think of any Actor who is even close to this level of performance. His performance seem like great events in the history of mankind and should be including in textbook.
In this quarantine, SRK's films aired in two tv channels in my country, Indonesia. And this one aired this morning. One of the finest film about sport that i've ever seen. SRK's acting skill is unbeatable. His eyes speak a lot when it turns into heartbreaking moment. He's done so many roles. He's a versatile actor. But unfortunately these days i read in social medias there are some indians hate him and spread bad comments about him. He has made ur country popular and known by his films. People from another countries love him unconditionally. But those hatters from his country still hate him for illogical reasons. It's such a shame..

While, Indian film industry may need him but India does not depend on him alone to shine beyond continent. All celebrities faces heat in India, not just him. Standing in front of the camera and 50-60 people starring at you..... That itself will scare you. On top of that to remember the dialogues and to say it with the proper emotion is not an easy job! SRK has been acting really well and he's been doing it since the last 30 years. So yeah.... He deserves respect 🙂! No job is easy.... You've to work hard in all professions.
