- FFXV Full game gameplay boss battle vs Ayakashi samurai lv. 110 superboss and Shiva summon, the fight was very hard, I beat him before but at level 75 and on easy mode, I decided to fight him on normal this time with level 95 characters, no food buffs hence the fight took longer and was harder. Dead General Strikes Down The King mobhunt from lestallum, this is the hardest and highest level mobhunt in the whole game, 2nd is Adamantoise superboss lv. 99.

That’s the thing with this game, it gives so many options for strategy and play (you can literally open the menu and re-customize mid-game) but I rarely see anyone do that.
They play it like an action game when it’s really not that at all.
He was getting hit by undodgeable attacks but that’s what shields are for. Some early game weapons cause status effects like poison, defense lowering and strength lowering debuffs.
He also didn’t use ring magic which has holy and daemons are weak against it. He never uses a link strike or blindside strike (crucial for big damage) and doesn’t use plan team attacks to make openings.
He didn’t make use of any of the tools and chose to limit himself and spam items. P.S. he didn’t even use the items that increase strength, magic, physical defense, or magical defense and he had them in stock.
No strategy.
Just an FYI, greatswords are meant for quick finishers or powerful strikes that won't save you open for counter attacks. I use greatswords for link-strikes, blind strikes, and warp strike against weak enemies for AP.
And I see all the hate comments saying that he's bad. When in reality he's
Iike me without optimal equipment. Plus the Yojimbo mob types have incredibly fast slashing speed, making it extremely hard to dodge attacks without the Black Hood to help.

Final Fantasy XV : Phoenix Downers and Getting Hi-On-Potions
This Ronin type of bosses normally has a one shot type of ability , they supercharge their sword for a devastating instant K.O - gotta party or dodge at the right timing. I just Impulse him or Overwhelm him
I usually time a regroup for that attack so the party is healed and doesn't get hit

I will be honest, fighting him many times ( the weaker version throughout the game) got me adjusted to his fighting style, I only used one Phoenix down because throwing coins was something he never did to me lol. but fighting the boss you fought now was surprisingly easier for me, glad you enjoyed that feeling of difficulty!!!!
I look at videos like this and suddenly I am like, the game HAD potential. It was fun looking, and could be fun.
Use shield of the just and royal katana, Noctis's 333 square block skill comes in handy here, cost 0 HP damage and hold it to provoke him to attack you while others keep attacking him, then block parry him, it can gauge up armiger too here using block. Block and parry is important here, dont stand there and let him one shot you, warp around. Equip anti darkness. Use Recoil, Impulse, Regroup. Shiva will do the rest. Not that hard as i expected (normal mode).....the hardest is Angelus, trust me.
tl:dr hold the parry button and hit counter, all the fight... same for every ronin monster
he to low lvl 4k hp he be 1 shoot most of the time he need to be at least 60 or 70 + or have def buff i drop that bitch at 77 with no summon no magic only gear get the fantom shield
cedric t i defeated him at like lv 38. I also defeated angelus and naglfar. Its all about timeing, precice healing and well prepared tactics.

I will try this boss. Maybe with the black hood, the parry chance increases. By the way, Overwhelm is the hell of a technique. It's better than the last tier techniques (but Gladio`s one)
The more videos I see about FFXV, from any source, the more I can't fathom how the combat can be fun.
Those creatures are healthsponges, and most the time is spent using potions.
Hell, even FFXIII paradigm's shift allowed to lower incoming damage if the player had an accurate timing. But here? It seems messy. Even worse in closed areas.
Most of the time is spent on trying to actually dodge and timing your attacks effectively, it's an action rpg so that basically sums up the whole combat mechanics. It's enjoyable but way easier than the usual turn based combat.
Alex Deva Being Bayonetta one of the best combat systems I've experienced, with actual dodge mechanics and requiring proper timing, FFXV system may emply dodge as well, but it's just lost in a swamp of graphic effects, AoE and low FPS.
totally agree. Kingdom Hearts 2 did it better by far. KH2 combat was clear, precise and dynamic..this just seems quirky and chaotic...
Blond Gabriel Well KH2 has probably one of the best combat system in an action rpg, i never really expected that level of quality from FFXV, but still, like i said, it can be enjoyable if played correctly.

There should be a DLC pack for this samurai wielder to change his model to SEPHIROT......and with the One Winged Angel in the backgroud.
Better yet, just add an optional Sephiroth boss fight into the game.

Which grade do you need to be in order to be able to take on that hunt ? And also what was the reward ? :)
For maximum brokenness follow the recipe.
Black hood + auto weapon selector(cant remember the name) equip a lance, a sword, a big sword, and a shield. Get the link attack damage breaker. Now your character has a a 70% chance of link strike for all counters or bundles of 26 k or more. None of the weapons should be royal arms, they might be cool but they don't link strike, nor charge the armiger as fast as regular weapons, do self damage per hit and endgame gear just beats then. The point of this is that now your character just switch to whatever weapon link strike has more chances, and this weapons have the bigger link strike variables. Now you can walk trough the dungeon doors like a boss, nay, like a overlord.
PS. The shield can be a royal weapon if you want, but the rest must be regular.

***** Its on the pitios dungeon. As a player who prides himself in never using online except for starting quest in the post game I will tell you, use a guide. That dungeon is not worth your effort, use the guide from beginning to end or join a horror asylum game.

The fight turn out to be awesome, but it did do what it was supposed to do(show how often it will link strike), guess I had bad luck. I can't post a screenshot when I barely learned how to post videos just a few days after my first comment, sorry.
Alexis Guillen you know, other than for story purposes. I really don't know why square even put armiger weapons in this game. They drain your health, can't induce link strikes, and do less damage when you factor enemy weakness.
The best way to try to take down strong enemies is with the ring of the Lucii and the Y button or triangle button move for it or with the help of some of the gods and maybe Armigger chain and such and not letting up am I right ?

Its been a while since i played this game but i remember going into an abandoned mine that had the demon samurai in into too.
Barely beat the damn thing too. I felt like it was hunting you until you got to the small area whete it waited for you O.o hella scary.
I like how my video froze as he was about to jump into the darkness. It's like I'd have to wait for a DLC to see what happens next

This was far easier than I thought it would be, I just took this thing at level 70 in about 10 mins with only prompto going into danger like twice. Love this game but the combat is definitely flawed.

Wish potions work like how "estus flasks" work in dark souls games. I can't enjoy the fight when i have to pause and scroll through heal items to use...
I believe their reasoning for that was because they wanted to stay true to the older Final Fantasy games by making it so that whenever you want to use different spells, weapons, and items, you had to go into a menu and stop the flow of the battle just like the older turn-based final fantasies.
I think if they did that...it would make the game TWICE as hard for them possibly...I never played it so its just a theory.

Yoji was waay less intimidating when he only operated in a turn based battle system....he scary here
What's silly is that OP was using Inglis' enhancement skill when Ayakashi is immune to fire, lighting, and ice attacks. He basically crippled himself. What he should have done is showed up with the Lance that does Holy damage. That and have the close range wrap strike node unlocked to spam it with heavy hits. This way not too many potion would have to die.
this was actually pretty tuff at a low level with low health with decent weapons considering it can one shot you and your teammates i only fought him once but died after i ran of items then i just gave up and just leveled up and looked for better weapons like balmung, apocalypse and more items and i beat him but all of teammates were down and i was the only one alive even summons barely helped. after i beat the whole game and the dungeons and gained 9,999 hp and all weapons from the dungeons i got the legendary weapons from the old man even thought the weapons from the dungeon were stronger the daggers were the best from
him. And now I can beat this boss in 10 minutes or less
this boss only took me 3 minutes to beat no potions no summons.
We had Equalizer before the fight and everyone had safety bit equipped except Noct. He had blackhood equipped.
This boss was super easy haha.

Overwhelm does tons of damage!
Have you tried using Ignis overwhelm+royalarm crossgun combo? it works great against this boss or any spongy types. Does about 1k dmg per shot and hit up to 40-50 times on a very short cooldown. Noctis attacks nonstop

This is exactly how I deal with all the yojimbo's. I use the durandi sword because swords attack quickly and it does light damage which is good against daemons and yojimbo is a daemon. I just wait for him to use an attack I can parry; no sense hacking and slashing this guy, he will just 1HKO you if your not prepared to block and parry. The parry will likely trigger a link-strike for some extra damage. If not you can hit him once or twice more then go back to defending and wait for the next block. Do this until you have 2 tech bars full, then switch your weapon to the royal arm cross bow "bow of the clever" found in the royal tomb deep in the mines (You actually have to defeat a yojimbo to get the weapon) and then use Ignis's ability overwhelm. It helps to have all your party members alive for this ability because you are all invulnerable for the duration of the skill and you attack relentlessly. As soon as it's over switch back to the Durandi hold square and repeat the process. Take advantage of when your opponent is vulnerable. When yojimbo leans on his sword and the vulnerable prompt is up just hack and slash him with your durandi. It also helps to equip your mates with light element weapons too (I give ignis the radiant lance but I'm not sure yet if there are light daggers, great swords, guns, etc...)

The highest level enemy in the game is that thing you have to kill for the last Legendary Blacksmith quest. But the samurai are easy honestly, they're slow and most of their attacks are parry-able.
I was lvl 80 when I beat this guy...I fought him after doing the 120 boss guy & I must say this guy I found to be way harder then the 120 boss.

This game should have had a limited uses of items, like a time bar: higher the restore effect, higher should be the waiting time for the next use of the items
