So much fun seeing the town where my great-grandfather, Hugh Richard Pugh, was born. Thanks!
That's great Liz, all the things we saw, he would have seen and possibly shared in the excitement of the redevelopment in it's hay day. We've filmed in Aberystwyth before and I'm sure we'll be back as it's a beautiful place with so much history. 🤠😎🐼
What a spectacular view!
Yes Phyllis, well worth the climb, but tough on the knees coming back down 😱 Glad you liked it 🤠😎🐼
Beautiful views. 🤩🤩🤩
Yes Andrea, a bit of a climb, but the reward was the view 👀 Glad you liked it too 🤠😎🐼
What a climb!
Yes it was Dorothy, but worth it for the view 🤠😎🐼
The hike seemed slightly arduous but views were very much worth it ❤
Absolutely Angela, the views 👀 were well worth the climb🚶🚶. The return journey was tricky too, as coming back down was tougher on the knees than climbing up! 😱 Thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼
Phew I definitely wouldn’t have made it up there. Stunning views and beautiful scenery. Take care and thank you very much for sharing 😍🙏❤️
It was a bit of a climb Chris, and coming back down was tough on the knees, but as you rightly say, the views were stunning and that made it worth while. And knowing how much you enjoyed coming with us too, makes the day even better. Take care and as always thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼
The view is breath-taking!!! Hope y'all were alright after the climb. Loved the tour of Aberystwyth.
So glad you liked the tour and the view Joni. The hardest part of the trip was coming back down, as that put a lot of pressure on Caroline's Knees, but all okay after a rest and some lunch. 🤠😎🐼
Gosh, I got tired just watching you lol but yes, the views are so worth it. Just stunning. Merry Christmas my lovelies xx Teresa❤🇦🇺
We were tired going up Teresa and it was hard on the knees on the way down, but as you say they were stunning views. Glad we could take you with us, thanks for joining us and Happy Christmas 🎄🤠🎄🙂🎄🐼🎄
Yes lovely views. We have a similar cable car in Wellington which takes you up to the university and posh suburbs. I love to travel on it. Hope you are both well and rested. Kind regards Lynda.
It was a very welcome break Lynda, but back to work now! We would have loved to have ridden to the top, but the view made the walk worth while. 🤠😎🐼
Don't know how you did it Caroline! I probably would have made it halfway. My back can't stand that kind of walk anymore. Although I did quite a bit of hiking in Oregon when I went home to see my family and friends. Short ones! I love views like this. And I want to see the camera obscura. That is amazing. I'm wearing my Manky Panda Christmas shirt today.
The climb was tiring Laura, but it was more painful coming back down, 😱 so we didn't film that 😄 Manky is doing a dance because we told him you're wearing your 🐼 Manky Panda Christmas Shirt . Thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼
The mere thought of that uphill walk made me weak at the knees. But well worth the climb!
It was a tiring climb 🚶🚶 and the descent was hard on the knees, 😱 but we agree wholeheartedly, it was well worth it, to see 👀 the view 🤠😎🐼
Beautiful views all the way through . Hearty plant to be blooming in December . The plant looks herbal, the leaves reminded me of rosemary . Did you say the name of it is Gorse , or Ghost ? The cocoon either contains a butterfly , or moth . Lovely show .
Thanks for the info on the Cocoon Myrtha. The plant is called 'Gorse' and it is quite hardy. And it seems it is used as a tonic, which according to one store, "Bach Original Flower Remedies Gorse is a natural flower remedy designed for people who have given up belief and hope. Gorse is a natural aid which provides relief for such negative feelings. Comes in a handy, portable dropper bottle." Now that's quite a claim! Thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼
I can relate to that walk. I had to walk our .5 mile(.8km) up our hill to catch the bus for school each day, no view though! I hope you both are doing well, thank you again for bringing us along with you!
Yes, I remember steep climbs and long walks to get to school too 😱 Living in the Welsh Valleys we can't go far without finding a hill 😄😂 Thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼
I finally made it to see this beautiful area. What a very steep climb my goodness Caroline how did you walk that far up? That would have really been bad for my back also, I have sciatic nerve pain it goes down my left leg. Hard time walking even on even ground. Great job on the trail both of you! Yes the views are amazing! Thanks so much for this wonderful video ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
To be honest Susan the climb was tough, but coming back down was worse as the pressure on Caroline's knees caused a lot of pain. But we had a good rest and a nice lunch when we got back down to the town, and we were glad that we saw the view and got to share it with lovely people like yourself. Probably the best idea would be to wait until the Funicular stars running in the Spring 😄😃 Thanks for watching 🤠😎🐼

I was wondering what the gradient is on that climb?
I never come across Gorse Flower wine, that's a new one for me, I wonder if it has a taste of coconut, because gorse in bloom has a distinct coconut like smell.
Not sure of the gradient on the footpath Paul. The 🚋 Funicular track climbs about 1mt in every 2mts but the meandering footpath whilst challenging is a much slower and steadier climb than that. 🚶🚶 We never tasted Uncle John's Gorse Wine but it seems it does have a "light coconut " taste according to this website... novocastrianvintnersgazette.wordpress.com/2017/04/09/gorse-or-broom-wine-recipe/#:~:text=Gorse%20creates%20a%20light%20coconut%20tasting%20wine%20that%20mellows%20in%20the%20bottle. 🤠😎🐼

How was the walk back down?
