      @@sharonbryant7202 they don't have hurricanes in the states. 500k in the states will get you a cookie cutter home maybe the new modular crap. Go to Instagram and type "Jamaican homes". Nigeria has better homes as well.

      I don’t know what you are saying, they have hurricanes in the USA as a matter of fact, Florida homes are built with blocks on the outside just like Jamaica but the fit and finish looks professional. In Jamaica they build these big dark houses that’s not attractive to me. Sorry bigger is not always better.

    Let me explain something not known about some or most of these homes. They weren't necessarily built all in one shot, some of these homes start from a box shaped building and people work for years and build them slowly so they arent all necessarily millionaires, just very enterprising Jamaicans.

    Now we know where all the rich Jamaicans are? LOL. Yup, Jamaicans like nice homes and nice things. That is why they work not one job, but two jobs sometimes three to have these nice homes. LOL, well! I know what you are thinking that these houses were constructed through ill gotten gains. But, trust me majority of them are contructed by hard working through legitimate effort. But, it is interesting that in this Video one gets the feeling that majority of these houses are empty. Then were are the owners? LOL. Bless to all the Rich Jamaicans.

    • @kengray3450
      @kengray3450 Před 9 lety +5

      Not rich but HAAARD working. We travel abroad working for 25-30yrs 2,3 jobs and have 1 or 2 businesses on the side to move back home. These homes cost as much to build as a home in Miami, more than Atlanta, yet we;re focused. These homes are not just the reward for working hard but to pass on to future generations. We think of kids and their kids. You must leave a foundation for them to build upon and hopefully they wont have to leave Jamaica to live a prosperous life. Working on my own home now.

    • @MacKenTayomoJ
      @MacKenTayomoJ Před 9 lety

      jonathan jamaica Nah, that was not a rude comment. Don't feed into negativity. The issue was that Jamaicans do like nice things. You will find that - even at the cost of their health they would rather have something to show or nothing. It is just a pity that Jamaicans are instead showing off riches and not wealth. Wealth is having strong businesses, strong corporation both abroad and at home which employs thousand of Jamaicans. I think that rich artistes can become democratic in spreading their riches to include corporations that employ not just their friends or a few individuals; thousands of Jamaicans. They should instead of having two big houses to show or five cars to show---they use the riches to make big businesses. Do you have a business idea? And, am not just speaking here. I am acting on what I have commented. I am creating business to employ not just one or two individuals or myself.

      What of NCB bank? Golden Krust largest minority owned franchise in the United States? Victoria Mutual? Jamaica life insurance? Sandals & Breezes? Super Resorts? These are but a few corps employing tens of thousands and Jamaican owned. You should do a little research.

    • @kuchibanga
      @kuchibanga Před 9 lety

      MacKenTayomo J What exactly are you doing that is supposed to be of benefit to Jamaica and not yourself? You should proudly say it since that's what you're advocating. A house is an asset, period!
      And don't forget the many remittances and its impact on economic growth and poverty reduction. Do you know how many businesses have been run to the ground because their founders reside outside of Jamaica?

    Nah, those are not legitimate or hundred percent Jamaican businesses. They are subsidiaries. Those businesses are actually owned by non-Jamaicans. If you want to know who is who of Corporation you can see the Dun & Brad Street, Hoovers.com, sheet and Idexec.com. You can also use the IRS website, too. What I have been referring to is individual riches. Individuals, who considers themselves rich. They could spread their wealth to create one hundred percent owned company or small businesses. Anyway, thanks for mentioning those businesses.

The house on the land makes no difference.

If the Americas would unite as in one way market then we would see betta progression. I still believe houses don’t have to be so opulent and fancy to be satisfied or show progression. Put back a bit in the poorer neighborhoods and then we could die satisfied

      +Black Pelasgian has nothing to do with black folks homes but rather homes in a particular country. I'm actually putting emphasis on the overpricing of homes in the U.S.

      +thaintriguing1 There are homes like these in the US for less than half a mil. As you say, it's based on location. Pretty much any location far from the city, especially the 10 largest cities or where some tech monster decides to randomly sit, like tiny Cupertino. Look at this amzing house for little over 100k in the middle of nowhere Texas: zillow.com/homedetails/5838-Melrose-Ave-San-Angelo-TX-76901/75318648_zpid/?view=public
